I nodded, still smiling. Amused at his evident bewilderment.
"You were the voice that was removed well over a month ago? The one that sent the others into an uproar?"
"I was. And Voices, I do apologise for that. Since I was taken, I have not been able to sleep." I could sense Techno shift on his feet, probably a bit uncomfortable with meeting one of his 'Voices' in physical form.
"How did you best me?"
I tilted my head in his direction. "That is a long story and would be best told with the others who are involved." I could feel him tense up.
"Are you a government?"
I laughed. "No, no, most definitely not. We are the Khupashai, much like your Syndicate though much newer. We actually only recently toppled our first government. But more on that with the others. We'd better hurry before Phil and Nikki get completely overwhelmed.
Moving out to where you knew one of the archways was, I could hear Techno's snort of disbelief. "I'm sure that won't happen."
Turning back to face him I raised an eyebrow quizzically. "I bested you."
I could practically see the struggle he went through - even though I am blind. "Yes but, surely you, uh, you know Phil? And uhm, he's stronger than me so I doubt that."
"I am not the strongest of the Khupashai and I was able to beat you. I know Phil's prowess as you say and that is how I know that he doesn't stand a chance." I could sense his doubt but there was no time to argue further. I knew we needed to hurry. Turning back around I could hear Techno shuffle behind me, getting his sword back and placing it into the sheath. Taking a deep breath, I extended my senses to the surrounding areas, listening to the different sounds and their energies to figure out where the others could be. After a moment of listening I head off in the direction of the main ballroom - an area open enough for an Elytrian - or two - to comfortably manoeuvre around. "This way."
He follows, but I can sense his confusion and the questions he's dying to ask. I would be the same in his shoes - but right now I need to focus on not having two of the last known elytrians kill each other...Hmm I think I need to get out more.
As we drew nearer to the ballroom, sounds of metal swords and the rush of contained wind grew louder and louder. Just as the atmosphere drew tauter and tauter. I knew that even being an ex-voice wouldn't be enough to quell the anger of the one called 'Blood god' if one of his friends were hurt. And I really didn't want to make him my enemy.
Slamming the doors open creates a temporary distraction of the two elytrians. For a moment, I breathe a sigh of relief ... which then proceeds to be shattered as a thin blade is thrown towards me. Sweeping it from the air before any damage was done and quickly dropping it, I called out to Altair.
"Peace Altair! They are our allies."
I could sense him relax a little, still wary though.
"Allies do not storm your base to attack you and chase you in corridors." He said.
I raised my eyebrows questioningly. "That's how you met me isn't it?"
"...."
I chuckled knowing that Altair was probably very red in the face. "Come on down, it's time for introductions, Nyx has gathered the others in The Room."
As Altair landed beside me, I turned to Philza, following a bit more cautiously. Nodding my head, I offered a greeting. "Philza Minecraft, it is an honour to meet you, I apologise for the skirmish, we had never expected that the Syndicate would come here."
