Even though there was a morning class today, Sitang woke up later than usual because he was disturbed yesterday. Even when he arrived at school, a diligent young man like him didn't want to attend the class. He went to the cafeteria to find something for breakfast as a morale booster.
The cafeteria was quite spacious in the early morning, and very few students came for breakfast. Sitang picked up a bowl of noodles and a cup of chamomile tea, choosing an empty table to sit down and enjoy his delicious breakfast. However, just as he was about to start eating, someone automatically sat down at his table without caring whether Sitang agreed or not.
His hand, holding the noodle bowl, immediately paused as he looked up. Oh no, the person who bothered him yesterday has appeared again today. Sitang didn't bother to react, he just lowered his head and continued to eat the noodles, pretending as if he didn't see anything.
"Zo..." The person across from him called softly, but Sitang paid no attention.
"...Yesterday was just a joke."
Jiranai continued trying to get his attention, but Sitang acted as if he didn't exist. Out of options, Jiranai brought a transparent plastic bag closer to Sitang's noodle bowl. This time it had an effect, as Sitang looked up with his beautiful eyes.
"These banana cakes," he saw Sitang looking at him without saying anything, so he explained, "I bought them for you."
Sitang raised an eyebrow, confused, but the dominant figure Jiranai acted as if he didn't want to explain anything further. He stood up and walked away from the table, seemingly walking away.
And once again, Sitang couldn't stand it. He became irritated and said, "I don't need them, why did you buy them for me?"
The tall and well-built young man in a t-shirt and jeans turned around to look.
"You don't need to ask whether someone wants the gift or not."
Sitang locked eyes with him for a moment and then sighed irritably, "I didn't care about what happened yesterday." The story from yesterday might have been just a prank by Jiranai. Sitang wasn't the type to hold grudges, so there was no need to dwell on it.
"Have you eaten? If not, buy something and come here to eat together," Sitang invited with a sigh. They had known each other for four years, and although they didn't talk much, they had met frequently. Considering they bumped into each other so often, it was strange to act as if they were mere strangers. That wasn't Sitang's nature.
Jiranai's usually sharp eyes softened as he looked at the young man who was now bending down to eat his noodles. A satisfied smile appeared on Jiranai's lips, but when the young man looked up, he quickly hid the smile and the tender look, shifting his focus to ordering breakfast.
They silently sat together, eating breakfast. Although they had the habit of not talking to people they weren't very close to, it was odd to be sitting next to each other and treating each other like air. Sitang pondered for a while before deciding to start a conversation:
"Do you have classes today?"
Seeing the other person's relatively modest attire, Sitang assumed that Jiranai was at the university for classes. Normally, Jiranai's faculty allowed students to dress comfortably, so Sitang made the assumption that he was attending a class.
"No."
"Then which faculty are you going to today?"
"I don't have classes today," his answer puzzled Sitang, but before he could ask anything, the other person finished his rice on the plate and stood up to buy a drink. The liquid in his large hand, with prominent veins, turned out to be a cup of corn milk.
