JULIETTE

I knew it was a bad idea when I did it. Yet did that stop me? No it did not. I'm still not sure what it was that allured me. Was it the way his voice rasped when he spoke, or was it the way he had so much control over me? It was both.

His lips were soft and gentle. He was giving me the option to break the kiss. When I didn't, he did. Though, he left only inches of a gap in between us. His beautiful, blue eyes pierced into my brown ones. My lips slightly parted, he questioned my antics with one eyebrow cocked up.

"Kiss me," I breathed. Those two words were the two stupidest things I'd ever said. This boy could ruin me, he could make out with all of my friends, and he could hurt me like never before, yet I would always come back. Come back to his ocean eyes and crooked smile. The way his lips felt on mine was pure perfection.

Once he heard my words, he left no room for hesitation. His mouth was on mine once again, crushing any self respect I had for myself. Eventually, after a few seconds of our kiss, I broke away. I had questions, and he had answers.

When I broke the kiss, he stood merely five inches in front of me. I pushed him back slightly. I needed enough space to think. He cocked up an eyebrow quizzically.

"I need to think straight." I explained.

"Why can't you think straight when I'm," he took a step closer, and placed his large hand around my jaw, "right here?"

I nudged him back. I composed myself, then said, "what the fuck are you doing here?"

"What do you mean?" he asked, dumbly. He is dumb.

"I mean, I saw you this morning with your hand up Daphne's skirt." I informed him, "and, need not I remind you, five minutes ago you were just about to shag my best friend."

I waited for him to reason with me. I waited for him to explain. Yet, he was silent.

"Nott?" I was confused.

"Well, obviously you're my favorite fuck." he winked, and paraded out of the room, as I stood there, absolutely stunned by his words. My shock, turned to anger.

Now, I couldn't stand this room anymore, the toxicity flowing through my veins. So I left.

While trudging back to the Slytherin common room, I noticed a red headed girl rushing to my side.

"Hi, I'm Arabella Black," who is this girl, and why does she look so familiar? She must have noticed how I was eyeing her, because she elaborated. "You caught Draco and I kissing," she offered.

"Oh!" now I remember. "Again, so sorry about that!"

She chuckled in response, "it's fine, I promise. Draco was just a little on edge after that."

"I'm Juliette Ravens," I introduced myself. She smiled in response. This girl was definitely a sweet one.

"Nice to meet you Ravens."

"The pleasure is mine, Black."

As we kept walking, a comfortable silence filled the air. Well, that was all up until I saw Nott smacking Greengrass' arse. Jealousy flooded into my veins, and imploded all of my thoughts. I hated Nott to an extent of murder (jkjkjk), yet seeing him with another woman made me want to bring him back from the dead.

"Who's that?" Arabella nudged my shoulder playfully, and raised her eyebrows suggestively, with a smug smile plaster on her face. Did she not just see him smack his girlfriend's arse?

"Just some guy," who keeps hurting me in ways I could've never imagined, yet I still venture back to him, and he only plays around with me because he likes my attention, and I think he is telling people we shagged, when we did not.

"Doesn't seem like 'just some guy,'" she giggled. Please shut up.

"Whatever, let's drop it." I suggested, as evenly as I could.

Thankfully, she did. "Sure." she agreed sweetly.

We continued walking, and with the walking came an effortless amount of subjects to talk about. She told me about her parents only wanting her to be a pretty face, and focusing on school is irrelevant. I told her about my parents marriage problems, and by the end of our walk, I'd say, we were becoming fast friends.

"Pure blood," I projected towards the door to the dungeons. Arabella was also a Slytherin, so she came inside the common room with me.

"Well, this is where we part," I joked.

"So it is," she giggled a little, and we made our own ways to our dormitories.

Dinner was a tricky situation. I didn't know where to sit. It was either I sit by, my old friend group, who were sitting with Theodore Nott, himself, or with Arabella, who was sitting across from her boyfriend, who was sitting a decent 3 people distance from the devil.

After evaluating the factors, I chose to sit with Arabella.

I took a seat next to her, which was thankfully open, and turned to face her. She gave me a warm smile, and slyly hinted towards Nott, by holding up her hand to cover her finger pointing at him, who was sitting very close to his girlfriend.

'Not now,' I mouthed, 'I'll tell you later.'

She rolled her eyes, but let the subject go. I mouthed 'thank you,' and she just gave me another dimply smile.

Before the two of us could get into any further conversation, Headmaster Dumbledore, announced that he had something to say. The Great Hall silenced, as the great wizard stepped up to the podium, and cleared his throat.

"I would like to announce that there will be a 'Welcome back to Hogwarts' ball for the 4th through 7th years." he continued with the details, which I zoned out for.

"Are you going to go?" Arabella inquired.

"Ehh, probably not." that was my first mistake.

"No, you have to come." Malfoy butted in.

"Yeah, come, then I won't be the only one without a date." Zabini winked. I smacked his arm playfully.

"We're being for real," Arabella chuckled slightly. "Plus, who needs a date. If you don't find one, the four of us could go together."

"Pfft, thanks for calling me out like that," I scoffed playfully, which then became the four of us laughing.

"Anytime," she winked "So, we all agreed, no dates, just the four of us going together as friends."

"Ay, ay, ay, that's not fair. You two are dating." Zabini pointed out. Which resulted in Arabella flicking his head. I attempted to hold back my laugh from their childish banter.

"Okay fine, you guys can find dates. If one of you two don't, third wheel, or go together." she suggested smartly.

"Thank you, Bella, for figuring out solutions to any probable unfortunate situation that may appear regarding Juliette and I's date." Blaise said with sarcasm, resulting in another flick to the head.

"Ahh," Bella squealed, "I'm so excited for this dance!"
