We entered Chase's house. His house hasn't changed a bit if it weren't for the additional furniture. But scratching all those, it was still the house I used to be in years ago.

"Tessa? Is that you?! I cant believe you're this tall and beautiful now! Chelsea's right, puberty did hit you real good!" Aunt Meg said whilst lifting her arms to me, reaching for a hug. I hugged her back and smiled at her and Chase.

"Okay, enough with the Hug Festival, Mom I'll just take her to Chels," Chase said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me up to the stairs.

He opened a white door and inside was a bright pink room with band posters and such.

"TESSA!" Chelsea said.

"Hey Chels!" I hugged her.

We stayed there for a moment, asking each other how weve been, what were up to, all that stuff.

"Kids! Dinner's almost ready!" I heard Aunt Meg shout from downstairs.

The three of us laughed. "Just like the old time, huh." Chelsea looked up at us, smirking.

"L-lets go down?" I said.

"Yeah let's hang out a bit at the living room, shall we?" Chase invited.

"I guess we still have a lot, I mean a lot to catch up with. Like, Tessa, Do you have a boyfriend now?" Chelsea said, walking out the door and walking down the stairs.

I almost choked. "Hah. Like that would happen."

"She was waiting for me." Chase said.

Great. He just made it extremely awkward.

"Okay, Chase that was so foul, Beyond the line." Chelsea defended me. I was blushing, though.

Chase coughed. "Uh sorry. I mean, so! How's little Tami?"

"She's great. We've been a lot closer now. Although, she's uhh, so demanding." I said whilst sitting down the couch.

We talked more about Tami and Tracy, then about the school they studied in for the past year. Our conversation stopped when we heard the doorbell ring.

It was James and Joaquin with their dad. James projected a bright smile to Aunt Meg when he entered. But his smile faded when he saw me. He looked away immediately. Joaquin and their dad approached Chase, Chelsea and I, while James was behind them.

Chelsea hugged her soon to be Step Father while Chase gave him a quick handshake.

"Pleasure to meet you, uh-" I started.

"Henry." James and Joaquin's dad stated.

"Pleasure to meet you, Henry. I'm Tessa Anderson, Chase's friend," I said, "And James' and Joaquin's too." I murmured.

"So all of you are close then? Looks like we've been missing out." Henry said talking to Aunt Meg.

I smiled at his statement. Uh? Not really, Henry.

"Can you excuse us for a sec?" James said to Aunt Meg and Henry whilst grabbing my wrist.

I froze at his cold stare at me while we were walking to the backyard of Chase's house.

"Why did you ignore me back there and staring at me like I did something wrong?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Do you know this thing called checking your phone every once in a while?" He said in a sarcastic tone.

I searched my pockets before realizing I had none because I was wearing a dress. Then I recalled where my phone was; at the living room back at my house, when Tami said she'd play with it.
