Leon and Romeo stop in front of a shop with a sign that reads.
Longitude & Latitude.
Romeo and Leon walked into the Longitude & Latitude map shop, the sound of bells jingling as they opened the door. The shop was dimly lit, with maps of all shapes and sizes covering the walls. The smell of old parchment and ink filled the air.
Scut Silver, the co owner of the shop, greeted them with a warm smile. "Hello there, how can I help ye today?" he asked.
"We're looking for a map of the Eastern district," Leon replied, "we're trying to find an abandoned warehouse that supposedly has an artifact we need to retrieve."
Scut raised an eyebrow, "An artifact? Sounds interesting. Let me see what I have." He led them over to a section of the shop dedicated to maps of the city.
Leon couldn't help but feel nostalgic as he looked around the shop. He remembered the first time he met Scut when he first arrived in Cinnabar City. Scut had helped him and his friends out a lot back then.
"Actually, Scut," Leon began, "I don't know if you remember me, but you were one of the first people I met when I came to this city. You really helped us out when we were just a group of teenagers trying to survive on the streets."
Scut's eyes widened in recognition. "Of course, I remember ye now! Little Lee! Ye gotten so big! It's been so long. I'm glad to see ye still standing."
Leon smiled, "Yeah, we're trying to make something of ourselves. Actually me and my friend here are our own official guild now, we're called third wish And we could really use your help now. We don't have much time, but we need to find this artifact."
Scut put a hand on Leon's shoulder. "Don't worry about it. Ye doing good work, and I'm happy to help. Consider the map a gift from an old friend."
Leon couldn't believe it. Scut was always a kind man, but this was beyond generous. "Thank you so much, Scut. We really appreciate it."
"Leon! If ye ever need a navigator, I'd be more than welcome to join ye guild, if I'm being honest with ye I've been quite sick of this shop for a while now. an old man needs some adventure now n then." Scut replied.
Leon looked over to his guild leader for approval, Romeo stepped forward saying "scut, after we complete this mission I would be more than honored to have you as a member of Third Wish"
Scut smiled and gave a courteous salute.
The two young men leave the shop, map in hand, feeling grateful for the kindness of others. They were one step closer now.
Romeo and Leon spread the map out onto a nearby table, the street lamps outside casting a soft glow onto their faces. They scanned the map, looking for any indication of which warehouse might be the one they were looking for.
"This is going to take forever," Romeo groaned, adjusting his glasses in frustration.
Leon nodded in agreement. "We don't even know what we're looking for. How are we supposed to find it in a district this big?"
Suddenly, Romeo's eyes widened. "Wait a minute. Remember what the guildmaster said? 'The warehouse is the heart of the Eastern district.'"
Leon furrowed his brow in confusion. "What does that even mean?"
"I think it's a clue," Romeo said slowly, "think about it. What's at the heart of something? The center. The most important part. I also believe it's a play on words, I think we're looking for a warehouse that's not only closest to the center of the district but also has the word heart in it."
