Bly trudged along the cleared pathway as she found her legs leading her farther away from her hotel and Skyler. With a new borne curiosity she moved until she came to find herself by a lake. She stopped by it and watched as it swirled unsettled.

'Someone must have just been here' She thought to herself as she looked around, a manor coming in sight. She couldn't help the eerie feeling this old mansion in the middle of nowhere seem to settle in her.

The darkness around the manor gave her the idea that it was unoccupied, the more reason to walk away, back to her hotel room and back into bed with Skyler.

She tried convincing herself that she was uninterested in whatever was going on here and that she just wanted to go back.
Her body seemed to have an opposing conviction as she found herself walking yet again, this time towards the odd looking building.

As she got to the main entrance, she stopped in her tracks as she imagined the manor once bubbly and lively with children running around and people relaxing by the lake.

She also found herself questioning why the lake was unsettled when nobody seemed to be lurking around. As her head swarm with numerous thoughts, a lamp like light flicked on in the room on the second floor corner. Bly's head snapped up startled as she stumbled backwards tripping on an obstruction.

Bly awaited an impact with the hard cold floor but instead a warm and soft body was preventing the collision. Bly took in the honey like scent that immediately swarm her surroundings coming from this person that had just saved her.

She had to admit she didn't want this person to let go of her, she felt calm and drawn towards this entity. She shuddered from her creepy thoughts, she hasn't even gotten to see what this person looked like.

With that thought a soft but husky voice accompanied.
'You have to be careful around here'

Bly finally got stable on her feet as she moved her head to look at this stranger. Bly had to admit that the stranger that still had a soft grappling hold on her was infact beautiful and alluring even.

Bly eyes swept across the stranger's face slowly, carefully studying the details and finally settling on the green cat eyes staring right back at her.

To say Bly was mesmerised was an understatement but she couldn't ignore the eerie feeling that washed over her once again replacing the safety she felt earlier as she watched the stranger's pupil dilate, seeming like a hint of recognition mixed with fear crossed her features for a second that it would have been hard for anyone but Bly to catch.

Bly was confused as to why this stranger feared her?

As fast as it came, it disappeared as a soft smile took over the stranger's face knowing Bly was checking her out.

Bly stood straight now as the stranger dropped her hands making sure she was fine to stand on her own.

Bly was now admiring the stranger's long, dark shiny hair that gently lay straight down to her waist. She found herself wanting to tangle her hand in the stranger's hair.

'Are you alright?' The husky voice pierced through her thoughts jerking her back to the realisation that she was infact shamelessly checking out the stranger.

Bly cleared her throat in embarrassment as she moved her eyes from the stranger's alluring body to settle on her face once more, the stranger was just about the same height as she so their faces were just inches apart.

Bly shifted uncomfortably at the closeness as the stranger said something again.

'You shouldn't be out here alone, it's quite dangerous around here at night'

Bly realised that she probably looked so lame gawking at the stranger without uttering a word while she was worried about her safety.

The stranger tilted her head chuckling lightly as she studied Bly's face. Only then did Bly find her voice to utter, ' You'd be surprised at how much danger i can handle'

Bly flinched at her subconscious flirting, it just happened to roll off her tongue freely whenever she was around a beautiful woman.

The stranger chuckled at Bly's confidence.
'Alright, uhm..would you come with me?' she held her hand out to Bly. She was skeptical but still took the stranger's hand. As she was about walking them through the manor's front door, Bly stopped walking which caught the stranger's attention looking back at Bly with a questioning look.

Bly told her she didn't even know her and she's not walking into a creepy mansion with a stranger.

'So why did you take my hand?' The stranger cocked her brow at her.
Bly was so embarrassed she drew her hand back from the stranger's.

'Come with me, unless you're scared. I mean i understand if you are.'
Bly could sense the audacious tone in the stranger's statement.
Bly cockily walked pass the stranger and opened the Manor's creaking door, walking right into it clearly trying to prove a 'point'.

Bly stopped in her tracks to take in the interior of the mansion. Her eyes flitted around the large space filled with old historic murals and artifacts. It looked like it was a personal museum for whoever owned this place's collection.

Bly found herself walking over to the murals gazing with awe, she has always had an extra interest in history and art.

Bly's nose was filled with the honey scent she was starting to get acquainted with as the stranger's presence warmed her and sent chills down her body at the same time. Bly frowned at this but got pulled to reality by that husky voice.
'Uhm..so i didn't catch your name yet'
'I'm Bly, and you?'
Bly replied without turning her gaze from the mural she was studying.

'Bly...is your last name by any chance Manor?'
Bly already knew where this was headed as she kept herself from rolling her eyes.

'Yes it is, I'm guessing you know my mom'
She said unenthusiastically.

'Yeah, no shit! Anyone who doesn't know Raelle Manor is basically living under a rock at this point' She said as her voice bounced off the walls of the mansion. Bly finally turned to look at the stranger, that had to be the loudest she has heard the stranger speak so far. She must be a fan, she thought.

'I take it you're a fan then'
The stranger chuckled at Bly's tone
'Yes...yes i am. By the way, I'm Aneil Bellweather. I used to garden at the manor, i love this place so much, i can't help coming back'.
Aneil said dreamily as she seemed to be lost in thoughts.
Bly noticed she used the past tense and was curious as to why the Manor seemed so lifeless.

'You said 'used to', you don't do it anymore?'
Bly caught Aniel's face as a flash of sadness swept through it.
She quickly regained composure as a small smile formed on her face.

'Yeah, well, no one lives here anymore. It's kind of pointless now.'

This fueled Bly's curiosity all the more as she was tempted to ask.
'What happened here, with the owners?'
The sadness reappeared on Aniel's face briefly again.

'Uhm, they just left saying they wanted to experience living in a big city'
She said quickly before walking away from Bly to other parts of the room clearly to avoid further questioning from Bly.

Bly of course, caught on this and decided to let it go. She didn't know why she cared so much anyways. She was about to move on to the next mural as something made her still her movements. Something about Aniel's last name rung a bell in her head, her demon as well seemed to be raging and she had no idea.
'Bellweather' she mumbled to herself trying to catch on to whatever memory this was causing.

********************************************
I had to cut this chapter here because it's getting quite long, we'll continue in the next chapter.

Y'all should imagine the setting to be at the manor in 'The haunting of Bly Manor' if you have watched the show.
If you haven't, i recommend you do for it's a very touching lesbian story.
Note: it has a sad ending so y'all might cry.
I didn't cry though🤧😏

And yes, i got the main character's name from the show.
