"Father I am not doing this, you know very well I have no time for marriage" I stated. I was getting frustrated I was tired with work and I come to my father's office and hear about marriage?
"Son this is the Coopers we are talking about I need to find the truth. I accepted his offer when he mentioned marriage it was the only way he would allow this to proceed" my jaw clenched at the name that came out of my father's mouth.
"Son this is business you know what we have to do" he stated. "So I need you to marry their daughter and find out anything you can about her father while you do that I will find out something to officially end his reputation, after that you can decide what to do with the wedding" he uttered
"Plus after this ends you'll take my place as CEO" my father stated. This is the one thing I drenched of, to take my father's place as CEO.
I wasn't happy with the current situation but if this is the only solution on taking down Mr Cooper for what he did, then so be it. "When am I meeting her?" I question.
"In a week at dinner so please be there on time and be nice, her parents will be there to accommodate her" he snarled not happy knowing that the enemy will be inside his house.
"I will be there in time but I don't promise anything about being nice or so much as being kind to him" I declared.
"Okay I don't expect you to be nice but don't do anything else that will expose us about knowing the truth." he said. "Understood." He stated after not getting a response.
"Fine" I said "I'll see you tomorrow at dinner, Father"
"Wait Jughead before you go I need you to have a room ready for her she will be moving in with you after dinner" This cannot be happening.
"What, why so soon" I questioned
"It was his request and for right now I need to accomplish his request to gain more trust" he stated
"Social media will find out in a week or so, for now settle a little bit" he added. Of course being one of the most known companies means the world knowing about the soon to be CEO will be getting engaged.
I made my way to the elevator and headed to the parking lot. On my way out I met Toni, my assistant waiting for me.
"Toni have the staff set a room in the same floor as mine" I said as she typed everything in her tablet "Also let Sweet Pea know that I will pay him a visit" I added
"Done, anything else Mr Jones?" She questioned "I need you to find a venue, wedding rings and a wedding dress. This wedding will be held in 8 months" I said as I headed inside the car. As Toni took a seat in the passenger side.
"To my office please." I notified Fangs, my driver.
My father said this had to happen soon but I won't let this won't happen. I plan on proposing to her to make it seem like this is real. In the mean time we discover the real truth and evidence to end Coopers.
I don't plan on marrying the Coopers daughter I'm just going alone the plan and making time. Now I wait till tomorrow's dinner and hope for the best
All I know is that I'm taking revenge against Mr Cooper for all the damage he did with my family.
