Chapter 20

BETTY

Today was a long day at work though it was kinda fun. The vibe in the bar is just so cheerful which is something new and different from the bar I used to work at.

Since Fangs isn't with me to take me to places I had called an Uber to drop me off home. It was kinda late so I was expecting no one to be home but I found Jenna one of the house maids on the couch.

"Jenna you're still here it's late shouldn't you be home?" I asked her.

"Yes but I'm still waiting for my friend to pick me up, but someone knocked on the door earlier and dropped off flowers." Flowers?

"Flowers did it say who was it for or from who?" I questioned.

"I didn't check and they didn't say who."

"Oh okay thank you for letting me know Jenna." I say

"No problem Mrs Jones, I'll be heading out their here to pick me up. Have a good night" Jenna says grabbing her purse and leaving. I waved at her before she left.

I made my way to the kitchen after Jenna left. I was still wondering who brought flowers. The first thing I see is the huge pile of flowers and they are roses. One of my favorite flowers, but who would know these were my favorite.

I was thinking it would be Veronica because she knows but why would she send them to me. I walked up to them and tried looking for a card or something.

"Bingo." I say pulling the little card out. I read through it and noticed they were from Archie.

Minutes later I heard the door open and quickly put the card back and moved the flowers somewhere else in the kitchen. I quickly pull out some ingredients from the fridge to cook dinner as I had send the chefs off earlier.

I got a pot, walked to the sink and put water on it. Then walked to the stove placing it on top and turned it on. I wasn't fully sure what I was cooking but the first thing I saw was some pasta and chicken.

I saw the water boiling so I went to get the box of pasta and opened it. As I was putting the uncooked pasta on the pot I felt a pair of arms wrapping around me making me jump a little.

"Shit Jughead you scared me" I say placing my hand over my chest when I noticed Jughead.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you" he says leaving a light kiss on my neck.

"It's fine but don't do that again" I chuckled fully turning around and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Sorry, I promise I won't but what are you cooking?" Jughead says as he looked at the pot behind me.

I faced the pot and then back at Jughead. "Well I saw some chicken on the fridge and the box of pasta. So I'm doing a creamy chicken pasta."

"That sound good can't wait to try it." he says with a smile and leaned down leaving light kisses on my neck.

"Jughead" I say with a laugh.

"What." Was the only thing he said as he continued kissing my neck. I closed my eyes and leaned back enjoying the warmth of his lips.

Seconds later he stopped and that when I opened my eyes and looked up at him noticing that he was looking to the side. He had a confused expression.

"Everything okay" I question.

"Whose are the flowers from?" He asked still looking at them.

I looked to the side and back at him. "Someone"

"Someone?" He repeated letting go of me and walked towards the roses.

"Yeah someone brought them here" I say turning around facing the stove and stirred the pot.
