*RILEY'S POV*Me and Adele sit in the car, awkward silence surrounding us.
I don't know why she is asking all these questions and being so weird. I'm confused.
"Okay fine i can't handle it anymore," She huffs.
I glance at her waiting for her to continue.
"I saw the message between you and your mum about you crying at school. Is everything okay?"
My blood runs cold and my eyes sting.
I let out a shaky breath, "Everything is fine."
"Why were you crying?" Her voice is softer than i've ever heard it.
I was crying because my teacher yelled at me for not understanding the work she explained twice.
And that is exactly why i figure it out on my own at home and not do it at school.
"Just school work." I mutter lowly and focus on the dark road infront of me.
"I can help if you need."
I shake my head, "I don't need help."
We stay in silence until we get to my house.
I pull in and we both climb out the car. I walk Adele over to her house and we stand infront of her front door.
"Are you sure your okay?" Her eyes search my face.
I smile looking at her beauty, "I'm good, baby."
My eyes snap to her lips as they upturn at the corners slightly in a small smile.
My heart soares to the moon. She's beautiful. Her smile is everything.
I want to see her fully smile.
She unlocks the door and we go inside. The cat quickly comes running out the front door and runs away.
I peak past Adele and see that her plants are all tipped over on the floor.
I pull a sheepish smile as she sneers at me.
"Your fault." Her husky voice gives me shivers everytime.
"I can clean it up." I smile.
Adele waves a hand, "It's fine. Just go."
She tries to close the door but i push it open stepping inside.
"I'll clean it for you."
"It's okay, go to bed."
"I'm not tired." I fight back a yawn.
I'm exhausted. But i can't sleep. I have to do my school work and then i'll probably read for a while and then i can sleep.
"Go get ready for bed," I smile, "I'll clean."
"You sure?"
I nod.
Adele goes upstairs and i scoop the plants back into their pots and make them all nice and clean again. I then vacuum and make sure everything is amazing.
