Chapter 15: Sorry

*ADELE'S POV*

I walk into school after driving myself.

I look around for Riley and i see him with Caitlin. They sit together on a bench and Riley looks in his lap fiddling with his fingers.

I take a deep breathe and i go over to them.

"Hi." I say.

They both look at me and smile but Riley's quickly drops.

"Hi!" Caitlin says and elbows Riley in the ribs.

Jealousy crawls it's way into my stomach.

Riley looks me in the eyes and i can see how tired he is.

"I love your outfit." Caitlin says.

I look down at my leather jacket and denim skirt with a red baby-tee.

"Thanks." I smile gently.

I'm so glad the snow is melting but i'm freezing my ass off.

Oh well, i look cute.

Max comes over and squishs on the bench between Riley and Caitlin.

He whispers something in his girlfriends ear and she giggles gripping his hand.

I stand awkwardly. I don't know how to deal with this situation.

I wish i was able to win people over by talking and flashing a smile like Riley does.

"Hey Riley i was thi-"

The bell rings.

Are you fucking series?

I let out a groan and everyone stands up.

Riley surprisingly grabs my waist and lowers his head whispering in my ear, "We'll talk later." Is all he says before walking off.

I feel like my body is on fire.

When i come down from whatever just happened i look and see Riley and Caitlin walking together.

They are practically joint at the hip.

I hate that. I hate that so much.

I should be walking with him.

I should be making him feel better.

I shouldn't be the one hurting him.

All of my emotions over the past days bubble to the surface and i watch as Caitlin and Riley seperate as she goes to the toilet.

I prowl over and i wait for her to come out and as soon as i see her i snap.

"You have a boyfriend, you know?" I sneer.

She frowns, "I know."

"Then why are you so close to Riley?"
