Warnings: Blood and knives and nightmares and such stuff. Yeah I don't know how the story's gonna go yet...
(Hellooo all, Yong here with the first Author's Note on this story to say that I'm gonna make this chapter THE CHAPTER OF FLUFF THAT SHALL INVOLVE ENOUGH FLIRTING WITH TWO CHARACTERS TO MAKE JULINE COMPLAIN *mwahahaha* (I think my mind isn't functioning properly when I wrote that sentence yesterday BUT it was 11:20pm and now it's 6:30am haha and yes the reason why I'm up so early and why Zilin is texting me now is because we have production at the LoVeLy time in the morning at 7:45am and yes it's winter AND YES THE SCHOOL L HALL IS ENORMOUS SO THE TEACHERS DON'T TURN THE HEATER ON) Also I was reading Newsies One-Shots by (Go check it out if you like Newsies- the fanfics in the book are SO GOOD) and then I realised that late King Orace's name is the same ship name as Race x Oscar. Ha. Ha.
BYEEEEEE THIS IS GETTING AWKWARD AND TOO LONG (I PROMISE I WON'T MAKE IT THIS LONG AGAIN!!!!)
"Mom? Dad?" Diana asked, her eyes blurring as she squinted into the distance, figuring out whether the two shapes holding hands were her parents. "Orace? Oralie?" She tried. The two shapes got closer to Diana. Even though she was happy to see her parents, even if it was in her dream, the figures seemed... different. "Mom? Sorry. I should've told you I had a special ability. Dad, I'm sorry for not wanting to-" "Save your apologies, dear," The taller, more muscular figure said as their features suddenly came into view. Diana gasped. "No. You're not my parents. GET OUT OF MY DREAM!" She screamed.
Diana's eyes shot open. "Theodore-" She stopped when she saw the very familiar silver eyes that she loved so much. Diana blushed and looked away. "Sorry," She mumbled, her voice barely audible. The princess tried to sit up, and managed to get halfway up before the pain in her back made her collapse heavily into whatever hard material she was lying on, knocking the air out of her. "It's okay, Diana." Theo's soft yet somewhat deep voice made Diana smile instinctively. She frowned quickly. Stop showing that I like Theo! I mean, he's never going to love me- "Diana. How do you feel? Are you hurt? I mean, yes you are hurt, but are you okay after your nightmare and whatnot? And-" Theo kept rambling on, brushing his light brown bangs out of his eyes. "Theodore Gareth Carey, stop being so worried about Diana and pressuring her with tons of questions. I know you lo- I mean, uh, care for her, but you don't need to be so overprotective." Elizabeth's smooth, silky voice came from somewhere outside of Diana's sight. "I'm not that overprotective, right?" Theo asks, probably to no one in particular, his voice sounding distant. "Yes, you are," Diana said suddenly without missing a beat.
"Hey!" Theo protests, jerking his head down to look Diana in the eye. "That was a rhetorical question!" Diana smirked. Elizabeth comes into view, her chestnut-coloured hair framing her face as she helped Diana sit up, her face stony. "Diana. I've- got some news to tell you." Diana nodded, saying silently that she was ready for whatever Elizabeth could throw at her. "Your parents are dead. The general found their bodies in their bedroom this morning. Meria has taken over the kingdom. There's a reward of staying alive and ten thousand algainons for our capture." The sentences were short and blunt, but they did nothing to numb the pain.
The world felt like it disappeared.
Until it came back.
Diana was startled at the kiss from Theodore on her forehead. "Stay strong, Diana. You are already the strongest person I know."
That kiss from her crush did help to stop the rivers flowing down Diana's face. "I'll try."
