AND HERE IS YONG WITH THE THIRD AUTHOR'S NOTE AND IS FEELING VERY HYPER RIGHT NOW
Theodore whipped his head around to the crashing noise. His face quickly twisted into a scowl.
"Jasper!" Theo yelled, unsheathing his sword. "How dare you show your stupid face!"
Jasper tried to keep a calm expression, but his body language gave away his anger and fear as the two boys competed in a glare fest.
Theo barely noticed anything going on around him as he swung his sword in an arc and did a stabbing motion towards Jasper, whose eyes glowed white.
He stopped where he was, the tip of the sword barely a millimetre away from killing another person.
A muffling sensation came over Theo's mind like someone had draped a thick white cloth over his thoughts.
He knew what had happened to him; he'd been mind controlled.
Diana would test her power on Theo when she'd first found out about this new ability, and wary of this newfound power, asked to practise this on her friends so as to not lose control or do something stupid.
Theo hoped Jasper would not be able to control him for so long as the son of a witch (LITERALLY HAHA) only just copied the power from Diana.
Theodore was right, the thick white cloth became thinner and less muffling after a few seconds, meaning Jasper was losing control.
A loud "STOP!" broke Jasper's grip on his mind.
Theo shook the last of the stuffiness away from his thoughts as he looked in the direction of the shout. His eyes widened.
"No! Don't hurt her!" He shouted, stretching his arm out to Diana, who's life was being threatened by Meria.
Elizabeth and Luseal had stopped their fighting with Captain Hunter, who's face looked extremely weird because of the bubble surrounding his head, but now was not the time to be laughing; especially when his crush's life was seconds from death's door.
"What do you want?" Luseal asked, her voice not soft, but harder than stone.
"To kill you. And if you succumb, your pretty little princess will survive. However, if you don't..."
Meria grinned, her voice too sweet for someone who was pressing a ball of dark magic to Diana's heart, where small black veins were already visible, protruding from her chest.
The witch gathered more dark energy, much to the discomfort of Luseal, Theodore and Elizabeth.
Diana whimpered, and blinked her blue eyes.
Once.
Twice.
And they stayed open.
