Chapter 2

"Hey!" normal speech.

'Hey!' thought speech.

"Hey!" Kurama speech.

"Hey!" Naruto talking with Kurama speech.

After helping Naruto discharge from the hospital, Yusaku brought the boy into the car. When the boy already inside, he inspecting the vehicle with great interest. Yusaku smile sadly at boy, he concluded that the boy probably hasn't ride or see the car before in his life. Which is the truth.

"Never seen a car before, Naruto-kun?" he asked gently while driving. Naruto glance beside him on the passenger seat and shook his head, "No, the village I'd live in before don't possessed any of this. They prefer to walk or run and I never get out from the village before, so I never seen a car or any other vehicle in my life." said him neutrally, didn't felt disturbed by the sad story that he told to the spectacle man.

Yusaku frown after hearing that, surely the people that try to kill the boy aren't living in the same village as him isn't it? He want to ask but...he don't think that would be wise for him to dig the boy more. He don't want to make the boy uncomfortable in his presence. So, with that in mind, he chose not to ask and hummed.

"I see."

A silence later, Naruto started to speak again, breaking the silence. "Um...Yusaku-san?"

Yusaku smile softly, "You can call me Tou-san if you want. But if you didn't feel comfortable yet, you can call me whatever you felt comfortable with. I won't force you." he said genuinely.

Naruto feel his heart warmed at the man kind word and nodded, "Then, Yusaku-tousan. It is really okay for me to live with your family? I don't want to intruding your family life." said the blond boy weakly, anxiousness coated in the young boy expression.

Yusaku turned to the boy slightly, giving him a genuine smile. "Naruto-kun, you are one of our family now. When I said that I'd want to adopt you, I'll truly mean it. You deserved to live in a better life, my boy. And I'll promise, with my wife include that we will make you live in a happy life. So, you don't have to worry about me, thinking that I will kicking you out or something that you think I will be turning my back on you. I'm swear on my life that I would never do that and I'll trust my wife would do the same. I know that it would take time for you to trust us after what happened but...I hope you will give us a chance to show you that...there is still a good side of the people in this world that still care for you...give you a love that you deserved from all the hardship that you have been gone through so far." Spoke Yusaku genuinely.

Naruto bite his lips from not crying himself out loud, he felt touched by the older man words. No one had ever said to him like that, not even the old man Hokage. So, he was totally moved by those words.

"I...Thank you," said the young boy in gratitude. Yusaku just smile warmly at the boy and nodded, "You welcome." he replied simply and there was comfortable silence after that.

*At the Kudou mansion*

Yukiko was ecstatic, she received the word from her husband that they will welcoming a new family member today. When her husband told her in the phone that he had adopted a boy, she was shocked. When asked why? her husband gave a briefing to her about it.

Apparently, the boy is an abused child that they found on the streets. Completely beaten into the brick of death and had lost to much of blood that time. If not for someone to find him that time and quickly bring him to the hospital, there has been no doubt that the boy won't make it.

When they asked about the boy parents, it's turned out that the boy is an orphan after the day of his birth. Megure wanted to put the boy back into the orphanage...but the boy already had a bad history with it and thus putting him back into the orphanage won't be a good idea in Yusaku opinion. And that's how it come down to it for her husband on adopting the boy.
