★ ─── CHAPTER ONE.★ : THE ANGEL AND THE STAR𓂃 ᰋ 𓈒 ⸝⸝.

the heavy smell of alcohol filled the spacious place as he stepped in, the bar was illuminated by red and yellow lights with a dim blue light. as the baristas and waitresses set the drinks in front of the customers, there was a quiet thud from the glasses of alcohol all around. there were two types of people there: those with shattered and lonely hearts who came just to drink away their grief, and those who came to celebrate and whose hearts were at rest.
he wasn't any of them, though. he had spent the day celebrating his reunion with his buddies, so he was just exhausted. he wasn't sure if he should go to the bar, but somehow he wanted to and did. so here he was, strolling towards the barista to get a cocktail.
but a sad-looking, lonesome figure caught his attention, on a high stool close to the bar, she was seated. her forehead and cheeks were hidden by her short hair, which was resting on her forearm. a whiskey bottle was also in her hand. his brows rose, a little curious. he approached the bar and sat on one of the high stools next to her, and placed his drink order.
he continued to watch her for a few seconds, and he noticed that her face was reflecting pain. her sad-looking eyes held a hint of sorrow. but he was also kind of mesmerised by the beauty of her sharp eyes and fair skin, and her dark short hair.
he sipped on his cocktail and smiled sweetly, showing off his dimples at her as soon as they made eye contact. she frowned and looked away, gulping down the bitter liquid, which eased her heart, not caring about how unhealthy is it especially for someone like her.
"I am soobin. uhh, you?" he spoke awkwardly, yet he was taken aback when she huffed and looked at him with an unbothered face. "I don't remember asking for your name." she said in response. "I'd be so delighted if you'd just shut up and don't say anything else. thanks." she finished.
he was surprised and taken aback, for a second he considered backing away and leaving her alone, needless to say the urge to know why such a pretty face had so much sorrow all over it was stronger, snd the urge to making it go away was stronger.
to him helping someone sad was like helping someone who would lose their life in seconds cause of blood loss.
everyone must be someone's angel, and you will be once your heart tells you so.
he smiled and sweetly murmured "want to talk? I am sure you are going through a lot."
she laughed hysterically, the edges of her eyes crinkling. "why do you even care?" she deadpanned with an emotionless face. he cleared his throat, smiled before saying, "I want to help you, you shouldn't waste yourself like that, you are young." she laughed once again before responding: "that's lame; im a stranger, why would you wanna help a stranger? are you an angel or what?" her voice was dripping with sarcasm as she asked the question. even though she felt she's seen those eyes and dimples, she didn't dig too deep into it and just ignored it.
