...

sooji choked on her sandwich making yeonjun and huening kai frantically tap her back, she enlarged her eyes to the maximum size and it seemed like her eyeballs would fall out of their sockets any moment. she couldn't believe what she was hearing- she didn't want to believe what she was hearing but then she asked: "when will you go though?"

"next week" wooyoung answered, his voice uncharacteristically low, the news were like sudden bombshells thrown at them, hence no one couldn't have their lunch, without the sunshine of their group what would they do? wooyoung was a ball of energy, a silly man that made them laugh no matter what stupid tricks he pulled.

"we will really miss you after you leave though... please visit us often." beomgyu pleaded, looking at wooyoung hopefully and wooyoung nodded in response, then they began making more plans with the others for the week before he'd leave.

byeol didn't utter a word and stared at her lunch, she couldn't eat. she just drank some water and stood up, making her way out of the cafeteria, everyone knew that she and wooyoung were the closest to each other, so they didn't bother asking her where was she going. they knew she needed some time alone.

the rooftop would help.

she made her way up the stairs her eyes were emotionless, she felt like her heart was empty, though she wasn't completely over the death of her dad, knowing wooyoung had to leave, she only felt the wound renew itself.

her hands were cold, she felt like sleeping, all she felt was numbness. she just wanted some rest, some peace.

she made her way to the railings and leaned over it; staring at grey sky, she liked it, it was pretty to her, the weather served as a mirror to her guts and how she really felt deep inside, she felt like crying but tears didn't happen to form in her tired eyes, just like how the clouds were grey but there was no rain.

the wind blew her short black hair, as she stared at the sky, after a few minutes. she always hated the wind, but now it was oddly comforting, she found herself closing her eyes and letting out a sigh, the exhale removing the pressure on her chest momentarily before it weighed down on her much stronger. she thought she would stop breathing at this point.

then she felt someone's presence and judging by the scent, she knew it was soobin.

he copied her and leaned over the railings, his eyes taking in her facial features before he softly asked: "you okay?"
his voice was a soft whisper, she nodded slowly, her eyes now glued to her fidgeting hands, not meeting his eyes even though she felt his gaze on her face.
