The door slammed shut.
The sound jolting her father and sister, their heads now turned side ways to see Hinata angrily take off her heel's and run up the wooden stair case. They looked back at each other & frowned. Once she was inside the spare bedroom. Hinata fell face forward on the bed.
And screamed into the mattress.
She didn't bother lifting her head when she heard the creak of the door opening, it was obviously Hanabi. The younger sister leaned her head and body against the door frame while crossing her arms, "What happened Hina?" Her voice came out soft and empathetic. The older Hyuga finally lifted her head up, revealing a tear stained face and huffed, "You know what happened Nabi."
Her heart beat quickened and Hinata laughed as she watched her sister realize she knew the truth. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything... again."
She patted the spot next to her in the bed, Hanabi joining her, instantly grabbing her hand. "It's okay... honestly I understand why no one told me."
Hinata wouldn't have gone. And everyone knew it. The girl was in a confused state of mind over the letter and the button. She still hasn't even read the letter. It was too much to think they could rekindle what they left with all the broken promises and change.
But this was.... very very different.
Naruto literally works with her.
On the same floor.
She'll see him everyday.
Run in to him, and mostly likely have to talk to him often.
It's not like last year when they just had to work around each others schedules. This was a synchronicity.
As predicted, the second she saw him & every moment after -Hinata couldn't think straight. She couldn't think about anything but him. And all she ever did in her free time was think about him or do things to try not to think about him.
Hanabi rubbed her hands soothingly, "Tell me what happened Hina...". She let her blueish black hair fall on sisters shoulder, letting out a long sigh before she spoke, "He looks so good Hanabi."
They instantly giggled. "So you're crying over how good he looks?", her head shook, "No! I'm crying because... well... Hanabi I don't know what to do."
It was a lot to take in. All of a sudden he appears no warning and he wants to explain well- whatever there was to explain. Hinata just couldn't take another sign of false hope. But now there was no way to avoid him.
The stressed girl laid back on the bed, closing her eyes and remembering his gorgeous figure. His home like scent, how it filled her nose with pure delight and just how good it felt to be in his arms for those long thirty seconds. It was the quickest sensory overload she's ever had- and Hinata couldn't handle it.
Naruto's arms were so strong. Stronger than before. He always picked her up like she was light as a feather but now, the mere thought of having his wrap an arm around her waist, a hand on throat, his palm spanking her-
No no no no no!
Her mind moved to his voice. How close it was, how warm it sounded, how even desperate his words came out. The way Naruto's breath fanned against her ear. Horribly it brought her back to all the naughty and lovely things he used to say to her at close range.
Such a good girl
I'm so proud of you baby
You're the most beautiful woman I have ever seen
She knew she was a dead woman if she gave him a full minute to look into her eyes. That was the portal to her dream land, and it was a fact that she'd fall and become puddy in his gaze. "Well..." Hanabi spoke, "what do you want to do?"
