April was a month filled with opportunity and new beginnings.
In the heart of Konoha City, lied re emerging eco systems in co existence with thick of concrete jungle. Her new mornings were now spent opening silver framed balcony doors, waking out to the terrace, smelling the early morning spring rain and watching birds fly out nests, squirrels jump and bunnies hop high above ground. Goosebumps and butterflies overtook when a strong yet loving arm wrapped around her waist from behind and pulled her in, chest to back for a hug.
"Good morning, Button." Hinata turned around with a smile, pulling in the man who blessed her with a new reality for a deep kiss and warm embrace.
This was a life she could more than get used to.
Hinata woke up alongside Naruto, even though she was still on a temporary leave from work. However her gratitude bloomed with the budding leaves and every second she could she wanted to show Naruto how much he meant to her. How his unwavering support during one of the hardest chapters of her life was something she'd never forget. So while six am for her was no longer necessary, she got up anyways; making him breakfast, prepping his work bag, and providing much appreciated affection on the couch or in their bed that they previously never had time for. Pre work and post work cuddles was something Naruto was beginning to adore about their new routine.
It put a long lasting grin on the blondes face, the way Hinata was all over him mumbling "I'm gonna miss you so much while you're at work", and how she just 𝐡𝐚𝐝 to kiss him all over his face before he put his suit on. All of it made his days better, and don't even get him started on how everyday she'd made the effort to make their home look and feel like an oasis with good smelling candles on the coffee table, natural light shining through the windows and her perfect existence all dressed up for him beaming as she said "Welcome home, baby."
She'd even go as far as to take off his suit for him, hang it up in the coat closet and kiss him like they'd been apart for decades. Seeing Hinata this calm and stress free was a version of his bride Naruto was loving. He could tell Hinata for the first time in a long time was truly outrageously happy, and she was spreading her love and light all over him. It was infectious.
Hiashi had been taking all of the time necessary in the hospital. Remission wasn't easy and post surgery the man had a lot of healing to do. When her school work was complete, Hinata spent everyday with her father, doing stretches with him, making sure he was walking and eating right. Over all keeping him company.
Spring brought on the small patter of rain against the windows and wooden ledges of the Hyuga residence. Hinata's own typing nearly mimicked the calming sound, the scribble of her pen upon paper alongside the brief crack of a burning candle made Hiashi tip toe down the stairs. The last two years were nothing but over thinking, stress, and worry. He'd seen those emotions on his daughter's face so many times. But right now, Hinata was nothing but relaxed shoulders, eyes glued to her computer, typing and writing while her head gently moved side to side to the low music she had playing.
