"FOUND IT!!!"

Hanabi zoomed down the stairs, her sandy brunette hair bouncing with her fast moving body. She rushed to the dining table suppliying her awaiting sister, brother and father with the precious item in her hand. A wedding album.

The older daughter poked at her father as she placed the book between her and the family. "Dad, how could you forget where these were?"

Hinata carefully touched the ruffled silk white binder like it was an undiscovered diamond. She'd never seen her parents wedding photos aside from the few that were placed around the house. The cover picture was of a kiss shared between her parents as they held hands. Hinata swooned over it,  Hiashi hung an arm over her shoulder pulling her in for a hug in their seated positions. "I didn't forget I just misplaced them. But your sister here-" he turned towards Hanabi with a suspicious scowl, "Is a real good snooper."

"Sorry I'm not sorry?" Hanabi showed teeth as she gave an awkward smile. Neji chuckled. "I'm sure you weren't the one who misplaced it uncle."

Hinata opened up the binder with wide curious hopeful eyes. Of course she could've easily grabbed wedding inspiration from the internet, and she did intend to-but there was something special about seeing the photos of her parents wedding. She knew it would help her create the perfect aesthetic. Helping Ten Ten and Neji organize their wedding also made Hinata realize how personal this journey was. Ten's mother was assisting in every part of the process.

Those days, where Ten Ten, her mother, and Hinata were all together straightening out the ceremony details, Hinata felt a twinge of sadness. Weddings are one of those few big milestone events in someone's life, that of course, is more than meerily shared between parent and child. Yes, Hinata's grandparents from both sides would be in attendance, but her lack of a mother was still felt. There weren't many events in Hinata's life where the absence of her mother stung. Hiashi was there for everything, so was her aunt. They almost filled that hole for her.

But the most important pre event necessity Hinata wouldn't get that Ten Ten did- was going dress shopping with her mother.

"Mom looks so beautiful." Hinata gently caressed a photo of her mother smiling wide at the camera with a champagne flute in her hand. Her dark hair was up and curled, her gown was strapless, the veil hung gorgeously behind her and the lighting was just right. She may not remember much of her mother, but staring at this photo made her feel closer than ever to the woman.
