Two armored knights on horses stood in front of a legion of soldiers, facing an army of Ogres. One of the two Generals turned to face the legion, removing his helmet to reveal the face of a young boy. "This is our final stand!" One of the soldiers walked up to the two. "Awaiting your orders, General Baelfire." General Baelfire pointed his sword at the four soldiers before him. "Colonel De Vil, take the Queens of Light and obliterate the ogres." One of the four soldiers, with a horned helmet, nodded. "Don't worry, I'll be sure to leave enough behind for the rest of you this time."
The horned soldier, Colonel Maleficent, immediately sprouted wings as the colonel beside her sprouted tentacles from her waist. Colonel Cruella De Vil whistled, summoning an army of bloodthirsty dalmatians as the fourth colonel thrust out her arm, forming an extra large sword out of ice. The general beside General Baelfire raised his sword. "For the Kingdoms of Virtue!"
The Queens of Light charged the Ogres with all their powers, followed by the two Generals and the legion of soldiers. Maleficent transformed into a dragon and roasted the battlefield with her fire breath. General Baelfire stood back to back with the Tentacled colonel, Ursula, carrying a sword in each tentacle. The ice colonel, Elsa, thrust her hand into the air, summoning a series of icicles to burst from the ground, injuring many of the surviving ogres from Maleficent's flames.
One of the ogres approached Ursula and Baelfire, with the sword of a fallen soldier stuck inside the palm of his hand. The other general ran for Baelfire as the ogre grabbed him, the sword in his palm piercing Baelfire's heart. The general removed his helmet in horror. "NO! BAE!" The ogre threw Baelfire to the ground as the general, Elsa and Maleficent ran up to him. Colonel Elsa held her hands to the wound, trying to stop the bleeding. Colonel Maleficent turned to face the general. "General, we need to get him help." Ursula and Cruella were beginning to retreat from the ogres, along with the rest of the legion. The general nodded. "The battle is lost."
Maleficent waved her hand, summoning a cloud of light smoke around the four. When the smoke cleared, they found themselves deep in the heart of Camelot. King Merlin ran up to the four and looked at Baelfire. Merlin waved his hands over Baelfire's body, and shook his head. "I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do now." The general stood up. "Nothing?" Merlin smiled. "We can still honor his memory." Merlin waved his arm towards a large stone.
Merlin and the general walked up to the stone, only to find a sword embedded deep inside. "General Baelfire died to protect the Light. If you want to truly honor your son's memory, Rumplestiltskin, then you must become the purveyor of the purest light." General Rumplestiltskin knelt down and slowly held his hands around the handle of the sword, and slowly grabbed the handle. As soon as he did, the crystal in the hilt began to glow a bright red as his body began to glow a bright white. Rumplestiltskin slowly pulled the sword out from the stone, revealing his own name engraved on the blade.
Merlin smiled. "Now you have the power to protect the Light as your son tried to do, Light One." Rumplestiltskin turned the blade over, only to find that the tip of the blade was missing. Elsa stood up. "Where's the rest of it?" Merlin closed his eyes. "Magic is born of two halves, as was Excalibur. The Light, and the Dark. That sword holds all the power of the light, while the tip holds an equal amount of darkness. It is not something to mess around with." Rumplestiltskin nodded. "I don't need the rest of the blade. I don't need even more power. I have enough magic to protect the entire realm for an eternity." Rumplestiltskin turned around and sheathed Excalibur. "I am the Light One... Dearie."
