Jasmine returned to Jafar's throne room. "Jasmine. What were you able to recover for our friends in DunBroch?" Jasmine smirked. "I'm afraid that there has been a change of plans." The doors burst open as Aladdin flew into the room atop a flying carpet. Aladdin thrust out his hand, magically pushing Jafar backwards into the wall.

Aladdin stepped off of the carpet. "Agrabah has a new Sultan now." Jafar slowly got to his feet. "I know a Street Rat when I see one. And I know the power of the magic lamp. It will only last you so long." Aladdin held out his hand, levitating Jafar into the air. "What do you know about my lamp?"

"There's a reason it had no genie when you found it. I owned that lamp once. I wished for Agrabah to thrive, to free it from poverty. That was all I wanted, for everyone to be happy. And I used my second wish to give him happiness by setting him free. In return, he shared with me all the knowledge of the lamp. If someone were to take the magic powers of the lamp for themselves, they could grant their own wishes. But at a heavy price."

Aladdin curled his fingers. "What price?" Jafar squirmed. "For every wish you grant for yourself, your lifespan shortens by a significant margin. Every spell you cast as your own master will take three months off of your life." Aladdin scoffed. "You're bluffing." Jafar smirked. "What could I gain from telling you that if it wasn't true?"

Aladdin held a hand to his lamp. "Then I wish for eternal life." A flash of light shoved Aladdin backwards into the wall. Aladdin got to his feet and held a hand to his nose, noticing the nosebleed. Jasmine turned to face Aladdin. "I don't think that magic likes those kinds of loopholes. Perhaps you should use your magic sparingly. In the meantime..."

Jasmine pulled out a knife and held it to Jafar's throat. "You're going to surrender the throne. And you're going to help us find a way for Aladdin to keep his powers... forever." Jafar raised his arms in defeat.
