Maleficent arrived at Misthaven, greeted by a young woman on a horse. "Maleficent! Glad to see you made it back home!" Maleficent patted her friend on the shoulder. "It's good to see you too, Regina. How's your new friend doing?" Regina stepped off of her horse. "You mean Snow White? Wonderful. She's soon to marry King Midas."

Maleficent sat down. "The queens of light... have been dealing with quite a few weddings lately. They haven't gone too well, suffice to say." Regina nodded. "Yeah, I heard about what happened in Atlantica and Arendelle. Tragic. But, hopefully, that won't happen here." Maleficent smiled. "Well, then. Third time's the charm."

Regina walked up to the stables, only to find a Prince and Princess kissing inside. Regina stepped back in shock. "Snow?" Snow White turned around, breaking her kiss with Prince James. "Regina! I can explain!" Regina shook her head. "But... The King..." Snow White held Regina by the shoulders. "It's an arranged marriage. One made before I was even born. When have you ever heard of an arranged marriage where the couple actually love each other in any way?"

Regina nodded. "It makes sense. So you're running away with him?" Snow White nodded. "But Regina, you can't tell anyone about this. Ever." Regina patted Snow White on the shoulder. "I promise, Snow."

One week later, Regina walked through the forest when a knight in golden armor rode up to her on a horse with golden armor. The knight removed his helmet, glaring at her directly. "K-King Midas? What brings you here?" King Midas stepped off of his horse. "I'm afraid Snow White has been captured. I have searched all over the castle, but she simply never arrived for the wedding."

Regina sighed and sat down. "You do realize that an arranged marriage is a loveless marriage?" King Midas raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?" Regina looked to the side. "She didn't show up to the wedding because she doesn't love you, not because someone took her."

King Midas knelt down before her. "She loves someone else, doesn't she?" Regina shrugged. "I never said that." Midas nodded. "The least I can do is give her a goodbye present. Do you know where she is?" Regina turned to face King Midas.

Snow White and Prince James approached a ship at the docks when King Midas rode up to the two. Prince James drew his sword. Snow White held her hands to her hips. "How did you even find us?" King Midas stepped off his horse. "Our mutual friend Regina wanted to make sure that I got you a proper goodbye gift."

Midas took a look at James. "So this is where your heart truly lies, Snow?" James glared at Midas. "We're happy together." King Midas held his hands on James's shoulders. "Then who am I to stop you? Anything for Snow White." King Midas tightened his grip, turning James's body into solid gold.

Snow White drew James's sword and held the tip against Midas's nose. Midas let go of James, his body crumbling into pieces. Midas touched the sword, causing it to turn into gold and melt. "Now, then. You have a wedding to get to."
