Snow White walked up to an Apple tree, only to find Regina sprinkling rat poison around the perimeter of the farm. Snow tightened her fists, ready to strangle Regina for betraying her, when Regina spoke up. "I heard about what happened. I'm sorry that it didn't work out." Snow released her fists. "James may have run off, but maybe I can still make things work. Maybe I could learn to love Midas in time." Regina turned to face Snow. "So you're continuing with the arrangement?"

Snow White held her hands on Regina's shoulders. "I want you to help me create a bridge between Midas and I. A... a peace offering, shall we say." Regina shrugged. "I don't know what I could do for that. I'm just a simple baker." Snow smiled. "That's all that I need."

The next day, the kingdom was filled with the sound of wedding bells as Snow White and King Midas left the church. Snow White picked up a nearby Apple Pie and cut a slice, handing it to Midas. "To a new beginning." Midas took the slice of pie and nodded. "Now this is more like it." Midas took a bite out of the pie and turned to face the crowd. "Citizens of Misthaven, it is with great pleasure that I..."

Midas stopped mid-speech, literally choking on his words. Snow White held her hands to Midas's back and chest, acting like she was trying to find what he was choking on. Midas fell to his knees and collapsed on the ground, his whole body turning into gold and melting away.

Snow White picked up the slice of apple pie and held it to the guards. "Who made this?" Snow White looked at the crowd as the guards ran off to find the baker of the pie. "Don't worry, people. I promise you, I will find the traitor responsible for this murder. Trust me."

Snow White and the Guards marched up to Regina's farm. Regina stood up. "Is something wrong?" The guards looked at the apple tree. "I suppose you're well known for your apple pies, my lady?" Regina shrugged. "I suppose? Did... did you need more?"

Another guard picked up a bag of rat poison. "Care to explain this?" Regina looked confused. "Sometimes my farm gets infested with vermin. I use that to lace the perimeter." The two guards looked at each other. "His reaction to the pie was consistent with victims of rat poison." Regina slowly backed up. "What is going on?"

One of the guards grabbed Regina by the shoulder. "You need to come with us for questioning. You're a lead suspect in the murder of King Midas." Regina squirmed. "Let me go! I'm innocent!" Snow White shrugged. "That's exactly what a guilty woman would say, isn't it, Regina? Confess it. You made that pie for the king."

Regina started to cry. "Yes, I made the pie, but I didn't poison it! You have to believe me!" Snow White held Regina by the chin, and whispered into her ear. "I believe you. But nobody else will. You're getting exactly what you deserve, Regina. You couldn't keep your mouth shut. But now it'll close forever." Snow White turned away from Regina and turned to face the guards. "Take her to the dungeon. She dies tomorrow."
