It's funny. Whenever I'm with people, I want to be alone. Whenever I'm alone, I want to be with people. Maybe I'm not with the right people. I've met a lot of them, made friends, enemies, and all that jazz. It's just, nobody's right. Nobody's serious enough, or fun enough. Maybe I'm being too picky. Maybe this is how it's supposed to be. If that's the case, then I'd rather be alone and lonely. I don't want to accidentally hurt anyone's feelings just because I'm too sensitive to handle their loud voices, crude jokes, or bland imagination.
People are different online, though. People have faces, people are unique. Maybe they're just putting on a show to gain followers or subscribers. That would make more sense. I look into their eyes and don't see any emotions.
Maybe I'm not looking in the right places. I could try looking in the horror genre, I'm sure there are more creative people there.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of my mother slamming the car door. We're home.
I help her carry in the groceries and put them up, then I head upstairs. My bedroom is the only room in the upstairs, aside from a bathroom and the attic. I turn on my PC with a set plan. There was a post I saw a day or two ago about some sort of underground Cleverbot thing, it was divergent from the actual company. After a little digging I find the post which provides a link to the site. I double-check all of my antivirus software, making sure it's running smoothly. I already did a background check on the person who posted the link, she's a relatively large influencer who posts videos about people and their experiences with paranormal events.
Nothing about her seems botted or sponsored, so I can assume the link is safe.
I click it and the page pulls up. It looks the same as the other Chatbot site, but it has a message below it written in binary code. I copy and paste the message in a translator and it reads: "Behavioral Event Network".
I go back to the tab and realize the bot sent a message.
"Hello. What's your name?"
"My name's (y/n). What's yours?"
"My name is Behavioral Event Network, but you can call me BEN."
