"That's not how this works."
I made eye contact with Jesper. "Oh, really? I had no idea?" I didn't try to hide the sarcasm in my voice.
"Well, then, why did you suggest that solution?"
"Well, Jes, for the same reason everybody else is suggesting worthless ideas," I snapped.
"Note to self: don't mess with Y/N today," Jesper said to himself.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm getting myself coffee."
"Kaz hasn't had his coffee yet. He'd probably appreciate you bringing to him," a voice from next to me said.
Jesper and I both jumped. Neither of us had Kaz's knack for being able to sense Inej's presence.
"I'll be sure to do that," I told her. "Good luck helping them figure out how to tell Kaz that they messed up."
I grumbled to myself as I tripped over my own feet. I really need to get myself some coffee. I grabbed a cup and made myself coffee before making a cup of black coffee for Kaz.
"Why do you have two cups of coffee?"
I whirled around. "Oh, hi, Kaz. Inej said you hadn't had coffee yet so I was going to bring you a cup..." I smiled slightly and offered him the black coffee.
He took it from my hands and took a sip. "Thanks."
"Well, I have to get going," I said, moving to walk out the door. I looked back over my shoulder. "By the way, Jes and Anika have something to tell you."
"Y/N, wait."
I stopped, hesitating for a moment before I turned towards Kaz. "Yeah?"
"About the wedding-"
"Kaz, it's okay." I smiled. "Just because I had one drink last night doesn't mean I changed my mind when I woke up today."
"So you still want to get married?"
I laughed. "If I didn't, I would've said no in the first place."
Kaz smiled slightly. "Alright."
