Sitting in the stands waiting for Tareek to finish football practice, I used the time to scroll through my Instagram feed.
Watching a few of my friend's stories, my heart skipped a beat when Azai's story popped up.

It's been almost a week since he's spoken to me and by this point, even Avi was being a bit distant with me as well.
I would be lying if I said I didn't miss my best friend but it always seems to result in an argument every time Avi and Tareek were in the same room.
"Babes fawud nuh, practice done" I hear Tareek yell and I get up from where I was sitting to walk over to him.
"Never know you lock dung mi genna" one of his friends commented and he laughed.
"Easy nuh bro yuh know the pree" he answers pulling me closer to him, making me feel so awkward standing here with them and I was just about ready to go home.
Pulling away from his embrace when my phone rings, I check to see an incoming Facetime call from Avi.
"Yuh still a come over later?" she asks when I answer and I nod, we were having a sleepover tonight because I hadn't seen her in a few days plus her parents were out go the country and Azai wouldn't be home.
"Yea 7 o'clock you say right?" I asked and she says yes confirming the time.
"Ok when me reach home" I tell her before hanging up and Tareek turns to look at me.
"Avi me a talk to" I tell him before he has the chance to ask who it was and he nods.
"Weh she a say?" he asks once we were away from his friends and I turn to look at him.
It's been like this a lot lately, always wanting to know who's calling and if I'm going out, with whom and what were we going to do.
"We make plans fi tonight suh she a call fi see weh me deh, you ready?" I asked trying to get out of here asap cause mi never know watching football practice was so boring.
