"Play ball!" Ham yells from behind the batters box as he puts down his face gard.Today was the game against Philips and his goons. Everyone knew that they were gonna beat Philips.
"Hurry up batter. It's gonna be a shorter game and I need to get home for lunch." Ham said, distracting the batter causing him to miss. Ham Snickers
"That's one!" Ham says with a grin.
"The heater, hear it comes!" Ham says hitting his glove ans the batter misses.
"Strike three! You're out!"
The sandlot gang was winning obviously. And now it was Kayla's turn to bat. She takes a deep breath while hitting the sides of her shoes and nods to the pitcher.
The pitcher pitched the ball and she hit it right into the score board.
She joged all the way around the bases and was greeted by the team as they lifted her in the air.
Benny: Way to go K! He said as he ran towards her.
Benny was walking Kayla home he asked her if she would like to go to the carnival with him and the rest of the boys and of course she said yes. She told him she would be ready in 30 minutes.
She got dressed in a long sleeved maroon crop top, with a black and white letterman jacket, black pants, and her hair was slightly curled. On her feet were maroon vans and blush, lipstick, and maskara.
She opened the door to see Benny waiting patiently for her. He was wearing dark blue jeans, his black P.F Flyers, a black t-shirt and a blue and yellow letterman jacket.
Banny: Whoa... I mean you ready?
Kayla (Smiling): Yep. Let's go.
Benny grabbed her hand and they started to walk toward the carnival.
------------------------------
"Guys, guys, guys! It's all on me tonight!" Benny said.
"Alright! Thanks Benny!" They all exclaimed
Kayla: Come on, guys!
"Oh, crap I almost forgot!" Bertram exclaimed while digging into his pocket for something.
"What is it?" Kayla asked, although she really hoped that it wasn't what she was thinking it was. He then pulled out a large white bag making Kayla face palm.
"Let's dip!" Timmy yells after pulling out a handful and putting it in his mouth.
"Let's dip!" Tommy repeats they started passing the bag around each of them taking big pieces. (except Benny and Kayla of course)
They all get on the ride and Banny helps Kayla on a ride far away from the idiots.
Benny: Hey, Kayla?
Kayla: Hmm? She asks leaning on his shoulder.
Benny: I'm glad your on our team.
Kayla: I'm glad too. She said with a smile.
Benny: There something else I need to tell you.
Kayla: What is it?
Benny takes a deep breath: I really like you. I've always had since the first day we met. I understand if you don't like me back I just wanted to tell you....
Kayla: Benny.
Benny: Yeah?
Kayla: I like you too.
Benny: Really?
Kayla: Hmmm.
Benny: Ok, then can I ask you something?
Kayla: Sure.
Benny: Kayla Rose Elizabeth Ruth, will you be my girlfriend?
Kayla: I would love too, Benny. She said with a smile and leans her head on his shoulder and he puts his arms around her waist.
After Kayla and Benny took their sick friends home Kayla went with Benny cause she was going to sleep over at his house.
"Today was great!" Kayla said as she laid on his bed after she got changed.
"It was. I got the most beautiful girl a guy could ask for." Benny said making her blush a deep crimson red.
"Shut up!" She mumbled angrily before grabbing a pillow and throwing it at the boy.
Benny crawled into the bed beside her, pulling the covers over him and pulling her closer by the waist giving her butterflies.
"Am I giving you butterflies, Princess?" He says cockily. She digs her head deeper into his chest as more blood rushes to her cheeks.
"Shut your trap, Benjamin. "She says, her voice muffled by his chest.
"No. It's cute." He says while placing his arms around her and pulling her closer to him.
"Imma kill you, Rodriguez." Kayla said causing him to chuckle.
"Good night, Hermosa." He says kissing her forehead and shutting off his lamp before pulling the blanket over them and slowly falling asleep.
