When Love Comes

Crystal finished putting her boots on and stood up to go downstairs. Ren had texted her he was on his way and since that'd been over 20 minutes ago she knew knew she probably had another few minutes before he was there. The two of them were going to the Hawks game and of course they were seeing his team the Bulls versus her team the Hawks. She was working on him becoming a Hawks fan but it was still a work in process cause that man LOVED him some Bulls.

She hummed along to the Beyonce playing in the background as she looked around to make sure she had everything before going downstairs. She grabbed her phone, her pack of gum cause of course that was a must, her jacket and her clutch before turning off her speaker and the room light. 

She'd been taking pictures and videos for a bit in front of her mirror before getting the notification from her ring and a text from him saying he was here. She walked to the door and looked at her ring camera before opening it to see him. 'damn' she thought, he looked good. Even when he was just in a t-shirt and shorts she found him to be just as sexy as when he had on a suit and today was no different.

"Hey gorgeous," he greeted coming in to kiss her and give her a hug. She closed the door so she could wrap both her arms around him and slightly cuddled into his chest since she had to be mindful of her makeup. 

"Hey babe, you smell good," she said as they hugged. They stood there for a a few seconds just letting the moment be.

"Thanks babe, you look amazing and you smell really good," he said squeezing her waist and kissing her temple. She smiled at the compliment before pulling away.

"You ready for your team to lose?" she joked making him scoff.

"Man go on somewhere with that, my boys gon whoop y'all ass," he said.

She laughed cause the Hawks had won more games than the Bulls since the season started so she didn't see them beating her team at all though they did have some great players.

"Okay big talker," she said laughing. She watched as he smiled at her laughing and shook his head.

"Well come on we bout to find out," he said, "you ready?," he asked.

"Yes, sir, can't wait, it's our first game," she said excitedly. 

"Yeah even if my team lose tonight is one for the books," he said grabbing her hand. She smiled as she looked up at him cause she felt the same. Yeah she 'd be a lil upset if the Hawks didn't win but tonight would be a night to remember either way.

"Yeah it will," she said staring him in his eyes. Like every time she looked in them she could see the adoration and the love he had for her which made her heartbeat seem to speed up a little. She knew it probably didn't but since being with Ren it felt like her heart was always going crazy and that's one of the ways she knew this relationship was different from the others. They were almost a year into knowing each other and her feelings only got deeper as the days passed. Yes they were still building since no relationship was without its minor issues but it was the most adult relationship she'd ever been in and she knew he was worth it.

They pulled away so he could walk around locking everything up and she followed turning off any light that was on before meeting at the door. She turned to grab her clutch and put on her jacket.

"Great minds, we both got the fur," he said posing and flicking his collar and hers.

"I'm saying," she said doing a pose and making them both laugh.

"Come on beautiful we got a game to watch," he said taking her once they stopped.

 She smiled at him as they walked to stand near her alarm so she could set it before locking the house up and walking out to his car.
