When Love Comes

She'd asked him knowing he'd never gone to fashion week and felt it would be a good trip for them. It would be their first time in New York together and since they both loved fashion, she'd thought 'why not?' They would fly out a few days before everyone else since they were meeting BJ, Devale, Kay and a few others there.

"babe, would you be down to go to New York for Fashion week?," she asked looking up from her phone as they lay on her couch watching the Hawks game.

He looked over at her not expecting the question but got excited at the prospect of going to not only New York but fashion week with her.

"I'm always down for a New York trip and fashion week?, I've never been so I'm excited to experience it with you," he said. She smiled thinking about the fact it would be their first NY trip and his first fashion week. She was always excited to experience new things with him whether it was a new trip, new restaurant or new activity but trips were always at the top. They had a trip planned for July to the Greece but one could never go on too many trips.

"It'll be second week of September, BJ, Siggi, Elly and the Ellis' meeting us there. I figure we spend a few days just us before they come," she said.

"Fine with me just let me know the dates and how much," he said.

She sighed, this man was always trying to pay for everything and she wasn't complaining cause she was definitely enjoying the benefits. He almost always made sure her gas tank was full, he'd paid for the Greece trip, if she planned a date he'd make sure to get the check, he even sometimes paid for her nails and hair. Hell the only thing she really paid for since they started dating were her bills and that was only cause she wouldn't let him give her money for them. 

He was a natural provider and of course she had the money and he knew that but he'd told her he enjoyed taking some of the things she had to pay for from her and as he man he was always going to give if he had it. She knew she'd probably grow to be more comfortable letting him pay for more once they had been together longer but for now she was just trying to be comfortable and not protest so much with him doing the things she wasn't used to.

"Babe, let me pay for this," she said staring at him.

"Sure, then let me know how much and I'll Zelle you," he said shrugging. She stared at him cause the way he said it you would've thought he didn't understand what her paying for it meant.

"Now you know what I meant," she said.

"Gifts, if you do something for my birthday and that's it, I told you this already woman," he joked while pulling her legs over his lap. 

"Babe, come on," she insisted throwing an arm over his stomach and cuddling closer to him. When he looked down at her she made sure to look up from her eyelashes knowing what it did to him and inwardly smiled when he groaned a little.

"You're a terror with those eyes," he said squeezing her foot and slightly tickling it which made her giggle and try to move away. "compromise, I pay half," he said.

"For the flight," she countered.

"Nah the hotel, you know the flight's cheaper," he said. They stared at each other for a moment before she held out a hand.

"You drive a hard bargain but I accept," she playfully said waiting for him to shake her hand.

"Nah com'ere," he said grabbing her hand and pulling her closer. She smiled when he kissed her 2 times before pulling away. "that's how we seal the deal," he said.

"Yes, sir," she joked leaning back into his shoulder and looking back at the game. By the time the game was over she'd let everyone know he was coming and paid for the trip while making sure to let him know the price of the hotel. None of her friends that were coming had met him but she would make sure he'd meet most of them before the trip.
