When Love Comes

Crystal was laying on her couch on the phone talking to Marquis, when she heard her alarm alert go off.  

"Garage door open" it said.

She stopped mid conversation to get up and check what was going on. As she got close to her garage door she heard laughing and got scared. 

"marquis I think someone broke in," she whispered.

"wait what?," he said confused, probably thinking he heard her wrong.

"I think someone broke into my garage," she repeated, "hang on, I'm calling the police," she quickly said.

"call me back, Crystal," he said.

She hurried up and locked the door before moving from it and dialing 911. She quickly moved to the front door as the line ringed before she heard an operator pick up.

"911, what is your emergency?," a lady asked.

"I think someone broke into my house, I"m home alone and I hear voices in my garage," she said quietly as she opened her front door and looked around for a car. While she was speaking to the operator she texted Ren and told him to come. She knew he didn't play when it came to her and she'd feel better knowing he was coming. 

She walked outside after not seeing a car and cautiously walked around the house listening as the operator asked questions and told her officers were on the way. Ren kept calling and  then texting her when she told him she was on with 911, he was worried and saying he was on his way. When she got near her garage she sighed as she saw her cleaning crew van parked. They were unloading equipment while laughing with each other. Seeing them she hurried to tell the operator so the cops didn't come, texted marquis, then called Ren knowing he was worried.

"babe, I'm almost there," he rushed out, "go in your room and lock the door," he said. She could hear horns beeping as he spoke and knew he was breaking traffic laws as he came. 

"babe its the cleaning crew," she said feeling her heart racing.

"what?" he asked confused.

"the crew is here to clean," she said laughing in relief.

"so you're good?" he asked.

"yes babe I'm good," she said.

"I'm 10 out, I'll see you soon," he said.

"Ren, I'm good," she said laughing and shaking her head.

"woman I was bout to come set the neighborhood off, I'll call you back the guys was coming too," he said.

"oh my gosh, okay," she said hanging up.

As she waited for Ren she spoke to the crew. Apparently the garage door was open and they thought she had left it open for them. Once she explained that one of her friends had left it open from earlier and was expecting a text cause she had forgot they were coming they apologized for scaring her. She told them to not worry, the door should not have been open and just remember to text first. Once she was done talking to them she went to the kitchen needing something after all that excitement and called Marquis back as the crew started upstairs. Crazily enough he had been on the phone with 911 as well, her brother didn't waste any time!!

Exactly 10 minutes later Ren was pulling up. She'd given him key once she'd moved in so as she was standing in the kitchen talking to Marquis he walked in.

"hey, babe," she greeted as he came over to hug her and kiss her temple.

"hey," he said kissing her once they broke apart from the hug. He and Marquis greeted each other before Marquis said he'd call her later and he'd see her tomorrow.
