"hey, do you wanna get takeout tonight? i didn't have time to pick anything up at the store." minho asks as he leans against the doorway, facing the boy that is curled up in a desk chair mindlessly staring into the computer screen.
"jisung."
"hey"
"bro."
"hmm.. what- oh- sorry." jisung peels his eyes away from the screen to look at minho. his legs that are curled up to his chest slowly shift down to the ground for the first time in a while, he tried to not make a face at the pain it sent throughout this body.
"jesus you really need to get out of that chair and do something, like, stretch at least?" minho walks into the dimly lit room closer to jisung
jisung didn't respond, he did glance at his computer screen then at the floor before closing his laptop, his features that were once illuminated by the light of the laptop are barely visible.
"what's wrong?" minho asks, sitting down on the bed that is behind the desk. jisung spins in his chair to face him but still doesn't say much.
"you're not still upset over the fight, right?
hyunjin and i have talked, and he wants to make things right."jisung let's out a little sigh. "i don't know.."
"i don't want you to have to argue with your friends over me... i really don't think it's worth it." he continues
"hey, i think it's worth it. you're worth it." he rephrases. "you're worth the risk of me losing a friend, he was clearly in the wrong." minho tries to comfort jisung.
"what if he wasn't though? what if he's right." jisung spirals, he's been overthinking for days and avoiding this conversation at all costs.
"you know that i don't tend to argue with people unless i know that i'm right. it was wrong for him to say any of that to you, and what he said isn't even true." before the conversation went on for too long minho stood up abruptly. "i changed my mind. we're going out to eat. let's go!"
a soft smile takes over jisungs face as he stands up from the chair following the elder out of the room.

they sit next to each other in the booth as always. they say close in a comfortable silence, both scrolling on their phones waiting for their food. all the stress has subsided and jisung leaned into minho's side like he normally would.
until once the waitress came over to the table he noticed minho did his little thing where he would gently brush him off.
jisung doesn't want to overthink anymore, he thinks that they're good and he wants to keep it that way. but he can't help but wonder why, every single time someone might see them when they're close he always gets pushed away.
if hyunjin isn't right, then why?
