I entered the house and looked around. The hallway led to a living room. It had pictures everywhere, mostly of an old man with his family. In some of the pictures, I saw the woman I had seen earlier.

She smiled in some of the pictures, "She looks beautiful." I thought, but then I shook my head and slapped my cheeks with both of my hands what was I thinking? I didn't even talked to the woman, nor did I know her name. Rick must have heard that I slapped myself, when I looked at him, he had raised his eyebrow and looked confused.

I cleared my throat. "Are you okay?" he asked, still with a confused look on his face. "Yeah, yeah, everything is fine, I just thought there was something in my face," I said nervously, and scratched my neck.

Before Rick could say anything else, someone was shouting out of the kitchen. We looked at the owner's voice, and I saw the old man I recognized from the pictures, he looked older than in the pictures, so it had been a while since the photos were taken. "Rick, Beth told me that you, Shane, and Daryl had your guns,Is that true?" Rick looked at the old man and then out the window.

"Yes, it's true, but we had a reason to use them." The look on the old man's face changed from calm to angry. "I said no guns on my land, and you promised me that your group would stick to that, I don't care for what reason you had to use them, but I won't accept that," he said now. His voice matched his face, he was clearly angry. Rick nodded his head and apologized, "I'm sorry, Hershel. It won't happen again."

This old man was Hershel, and I was glad that I didn't do anything that would make him mad. Now Hershel looked at me. His expression changed a bit, he looked calmer but was still angry. "And what happened to you?" I thought that he was properly meaning my head, and I sighed, "She was hit by Shane with his gun; we didn't know if she was dangerous." Hershel looked at me and then at Rick again and scoffed, "So before asking her anything to make sure she's Dangerous or not, you hit her?."

Rick didn't say anything, knowing no matter what he said, it wouldn't be a reason to hit someone before asking any kind of question, and I agreed. "Please, I don't want any trouble, I'm here to look for my older brother. I can take my things and leave, you will never see me again if that's what you want," I said, looking at the two men.

"It's out of the question, you'll stay, I'll take care of your wound first." I just met Hershel a few minutes ago, but I could already tell that he was a good person. "We also want to ask you some questions, remember? We will talk after that, and look what we do next." Rick said he was careful, he didn't want to take any risks, and I understood him. "Okay, okay, I understand," I said. Hershel touched my shoulder, and I looked at him.

"Come with me, I'm going to take care of your wound." I nodded, "Thank you," as I was walking after him. Rick had left the house, he took my backpack and all my weapons. I've felt a bit naked since the outback started. I was never without a weapon. Hershel led me into a small bedroom, where he asked me to sit on the bed. I accepted the instructions he gave me, and we sat down on the bed.

"It looks like the wound is not very deep, but there is still a risk that you will have a small scar," he said as he took a needle and thread and a bottle with a piece of cloth out of a drawer. "That's fine, a scar is better than being dead." I sighed, and Hershel nodded in agreement.

"I'm sorry you know my name, but I didn't ask what yours is." I smiled at him. "Ivy-Ivy Roberts." I stretched out my hand, and Hershel took it and shook it. "Nice to meet you, Ivy." "Likewise Hershel"

While Hershel was treating my wound, he told me about how he and his family lost other family members and what it had done to them. I felt sorry.

I told him about how I lost my brother and how I had been looking for him since the day we got separated "And that was the last stitch." He packed the things he used and put them back in the drawer. "Thank you, Hershel, really," I said.

He smiled at me and laughed. "No problem, go outside. Rick is out right now, so you have some free time." He said, meant I had some free time before I had to be with the three men again. I thanked whoever it was that I had some peace and quiet.

When I came out of the house, I looked around. I saw a big barn. Hershel told me not to go there. I had to promise him that I would not go to the barn and look inside. What secret did he have that I had to promise him not to look into the barn? But for now, I'll stick to it.

If there's a way to stay here and maybe find out more about my brother, I'll take it. I started walking around, I stayed away from the people, whom I had seen earlier, I came to the stables and looked at the horses, they looked beautiful.

I wasn't a big fan of riding one, but I liked their beauty. I saw a black horse. It had brown eyes and a white dot on its head. "You are a beautiful one, aren't you?" I was about to pet the horse when I heard a whistle behind me, I turned my head, and behind me stood the short-haired woman I saw when I arrived. "I would be careful, the good one there is Blackie."

I looked at her, her brown hair was just above her shoulders, a red t-shirt, black pants, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat. She had green eyes and a birthmark on her cheek. "Blackie? Well, that's a very creative name," the woman laughed, "my sister Beth, she was there when Blackie was born, and my father decided that she could choose the name."

I shook my head. "how old Was your sister?" the woman Was silent for a moment "Beth was ten at that time." I nodded and it went silent.
I remembered that I didn't know her name "So we talk to each other, but without knowing what the other person's name is, I'm of course so polite and introduce myself first" I held out my hand to her."I'm Ivy Roberts Your personal walker killer, what's yours?" I joked and the woman laughed.

"Maggie Greene at your service," she saluted,Shaked my hand and smiled at me, she looked at the horse and then to me . "But really watch out when you're near her." I raised an eyebrow. What should this horse do to me in the stable, I took a step closer to the horse. I wanted to challenge her, "Don't-you're going to hurt yourse-" but it was too late.

I had my hand on the nose of the horse, and at first everything was fine until i felt pain in my ring finger The horse had bitten it, and it hurted like shit.
"Ah! Fucking hell, goddamn horse!" I said annoyed and held my finger."

"told you" Maggie said with a grin. I gave her an annoyed and her grin just went bigger.
She was right, but I didn't wanted to say it out loud, it still hurted a bit,Maggie started laughing, her laughter distracted me a bit from the pain and I let go of my finger. "That's not funny. You should have been more specific."

"Where would the fun in that?" She still had a grin on her face, and I just rolled my eyes. "I was never a friend of a horse, and I will never ride one." I glared at the horse.

Maggie rolled her eyes "I could teach you how to ride one... Ivy," she said my name with a tone that made my body freeze. I tried to shake it off, and now I was the one who scoffed,"you Wish Cowgirl, but I never ever set foot into a stirrup." "Cowgirl?"

Maggie asked , and I just nodded with a grin on my face"I like the hat you're wearing, so I thought Cowgirl would perfectly fit you." she scoffed, but I could see that she had a little smile on her face.

"You shouldn't call me cowgirl when you don't even know how to ride a horse." I took a step closer to her. "I said, that I wouldn't ride one, but I never said that I couldn't," I whispered, standing a few inches away from her face. Now she took a step closer to me and looked me in the eyes.

I stared at her for a moment before she took another step. She was so close that our noses almost touched. She leaned herself a bit forward and was whispering into my ear.

"I like to see you try." I don't know why, but just that one sentence turned off my brain. My throat was dry, and my heart was probably beating so loud you could hear it over the whole farm. I wanted to say something, but I just stared into Maggie's eyes... She stepped back and just chuckled at my reaction. She was about to leave when she turned around.

"Food will be ready in an hour, don't be late." Before I could say anything, she was gone. I stood there for God knows how long, realizing what just happened. From afar i probably looked like an idiot who didn't know what to do with herself.

I took my hands and slapped my cheeks with them several times until i held my face.
"What was this woman doing to me?"
