chapter 2

Aether pov
Location: School 2nd floor

I yawned while looking outside through the fogged window that has raindrops falling on it

In the corner of my eyes, I saw the same boy who I sat next to walking in the rain with his hood up

'Is he that dumb to go in the rain, god.'

I rushed down out of the classroom I'm in and down the stairs towards the main entrance. Lots of umbrellas piled up. I quickly noticed my own umbrella since it was a sunshine yellow, with a cute bunny keychain on the handle

I took my umbrella from the piles of wet umbrellas and rushed out, and ran to my seatmate.

"Hey!" I shouted trying to get his attention

He stopped in his tracks and turned around, I could see how soaked his clothes are.

finally I caught up to him and panted as I catch my breath

"What?" He asked with a cold voice as he stares at me with narrowed eyes, both hands in his pockets

"I'm sorry, I was just worried that you might get umm...get sick since you're walking in the rain, with no umbrella." I said with my usual soft voice

"So?, It's none of your business" -xiao

"Please, just take my umbrella" -ae

"I don't need it" -xiao

"I just don't want you to get sick"-ae

"So umm, please?" -ae

"Fine" he said and rolled his eyes at me and took the opened umbrella in my hand, that I was using to protect myself from the rain

There was an awkward silence between us. His hand holding my umbrella that's sheltering us both from the raindrops

"I'll walk you home." He said with a faint blush but still glared at me

"No no, you really don't have to" I said declining his offer politely

"Just accept it, think of it as a thank you for lending me your umbrella." He said as his glare soften

"Well then, if you insist" I said and gave him a heartwarming smile

We walked to my house, you'd think that we chatted on the way but no. There was only pure silence, the sounds of raindrops falling, the cars passing by, and the giggles and chuckles of children playing in the rain.

As we were walking, I couldn't handle the silence between us anymore, it's driving me insane

"I..umm, never got your name.." why did I stutter, oh my god how stupid

"Xiao zhin" he replied not even bothering to look at me when he answered

Goddamn why is he so Dry?! I got so frustrated and clenched my fist. But I calmed my self down

I gave him a smile "your name's pretty, it's like music to my ears"

"It's nothing special. Just a name, that's it" -xiao

And with that out conversation was shot down, I couldn't think of replies anymore. he was too fucking dry

We walked for a few more minutes before arriving at my house

"This is my stop" I said with a smile

He nodded in response, still holding my umbrella

"Thanks for accompanying me home, take the umbrella with you. But please make sure to return it to me tomorrow, okay?"

And again, he just nodded in response and waited for me to get in my house

I waved him goodbye and went in my House, I glanced at him through the windows, he finally left and it surprised me that his house was just a few blocks away from mine

As I was focusing on watching the boy,  a fork hit the back of my head, causing me to groan in pain

"Ouch! What was that for?!" I yelled and turned around to see my twin sister

"Duh, obviously to stop your ass from stalking" she rolled her eyes and walked closer to me

"I was not stalking someone." - Ae

"Yes you were" - lumi

"Was not" - Ae

"you were, don't lie" - lumi

"Im not stalking anyone, just watching the rain" that's a lie, I really was watching the handsome individual who took me home, leave then enter his place. What was his name again? Oh right.. Xiao

"Don't lie to me" she said and hitted the back of my head with her palm

"Ouch- stop that" I said glaring at her

"You're such a bad liar" - lumi

"Am not" - Ae

"So you were lying..." She shot me a glare

That's when I knew, I had fallen in her trap and there's no way out. I couldn't help but sigh in defeat "fineeee, you got meee"

She smirked at me "see, you can't fool me. Who are you stalking anyways loverboy"

"I wasn't exactly stalking, I was just watching him go in his house"

She took a couple steps back and gave me a creeped out look "that's creepy"

"No no no, it's now what it looks like, Promise" I pleaded "I just wanted to make sure he got home safely"

"Hmmm, do you like him or something?" - lumi

"I don't" - Ae

"Then why are you making sure he got home safely?" - lumi

"I don't know either..." - Ae

"Maybe it's your gayness awakening BAHAHAHA" - lumi

"No its nottt, I'm straight!" - Ae

Lumine wiggled her eyebrows and place her hand on her chin "oh hohohoho really????"

"yes really!" - Ae
"You should know this, I only had crush on girls and only ever dated girls." - Ae

"Then why are you flustered?" Lumine teased me again

"I'm embarrassed for your own baseless accusations." - Ae

"Baseless? I think not." - lumi
"But heyyy still, you'll never know you know? This year you might get your gay awakening BAHAHA" -lumi

"I will most definitely NOT" - Ae

"Sure sure~" lumine teased again

"Fuck off" I said and walked to my room stomping

"BAHAHAHA there goes your short temper again" - lumi
