chapter 3

Xiao pov

"Ugh....my head hurts" I groaned in pain as I enter my house then put the umbrella I borrowed in the umbrella stand

"Brother?" A little girl walked up to me and asked for ups

"Not now qiqi, brother's tired and soaked" I said with a soft smile and patted her head

"Okay.... Qiqi understands" my sister said and ran off to the living room

Frowning, I took my shoes off and headed straight to the bathroom to take a warm shower. I felt so relieved when the warm water starts hitting my back

As I was showering a thought crossed my mind. A thought about the individual whom lended me their umbrella. I begin to wonder.... Are they a boy or a girl?

It's hard for me to tell since they had a  feminine face and figure but I could also see that their body language are of a boys, ARCHONSS I can't tellllll

I decided to stop thinking about it, then finished my shower, with a towel wrapped on my lower half I exited the bathroom and went to my room and got dressed

Laying on my bed, I continued my train of thoughts. Strangely enough, my thoughts were all about that individual..Aether. Get the fuckkk off my minddddd

My train of thoughts were interrupted by a knock "xiao *knocking*"

I got off my bed and opened my bedroom door to see my father, My step father Zhongli

Zhongli's my stepfather. he married my mother who's now dead, when my mom and real dad got a divorce. Cause surprise my dad's a cheater

"Yes?" I said coldly staring at my 'dad'

"Dinner's ready, come down when you feel like it" he said to me with a smile. I know he's trying to make it up to me.. after all he is the very reason why my mother died, he let her die. Why didn't he save her from the crash? Why did he only save me and qiqi? Why....why....

These thoughts made me resent him, but at the same time... I am grateful for him for taking care of me even though qiqi is his only real kid and not me

I brushed the thoughts away and nodded "I'll be down, in a few minutes"

He gave me a smile then turned his back on me and disappeared from my line of sight

Closing my door, a small hand held onto the door knob

"Brother... qiqi wants up" - qiqi

"Ofcourse" I said and picked her up

"Why does brother seem upset?" -qiqi

"I'm not upset" I said and reassured her with a smile

"See.... you're even lying to me now..." -qiqi

"I'm not, I'm really fine" -xiao

"Really?" -qiqi

"Yes really" -xiao

"Okay... Qiqi believes brother xiao" she said in her usual voice and hugged me

"Have you eaten yet?" I asked her while gently cradling her in my arms

She shook her head and looked up at me "no... Not yet, qiqi wanted to eat dinner with brother, so qiqi is waiting for brother to eat so qiqi and him can eat dinner together.."

"Oh...qiqi..." I couldn't help but smile and leave my room, with her still in my arms

"We'll go eat now" I said as I walk downstairs

We reached the dinner table and was greeted by my stepfather who was seated

I continued walking to my seat and placed qiqi on a seat near me then sat myself
