Chapter three,
it's a cruel, cruel night
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Wandering the streets, late at night especially with this type of weather was always her favorite, her entire arm remained looped around his arm, with the breeze that was just hitting her face and allowing her hair to move swiftly with the wind, "What happened in there? It seemed that your friend was going to go upstairs with that man?" Her nose simply scrunched up and glancing at the boy beside her.
It seemed that the argument between the sisters was continuing since she can hear the yelling, and that's for not even being near by them — A part of her had felt that she was just intruding, so it was why she was attempting to speak about the situation from the party, and not intrude in the sisters argument.
Chad lightly sighed, his other hand was just caressing Citlali's arm that had goosebumps from the breeze, but she seemed to enjoy the breeze of the air, "Yeah, she was going to go upstairs with date-rape Frankie. So, had to get her down before she gets herself in danger, I might've stirred up a fight." He embarrassingly revealed.
Citlali had given his arm a gentle squeeze in simple reassurance, she detected from his voice that he felt embarrassed for instigating a fight in a party, her soft speaking to him, "There's no need for you to feel embarrassed, Chad. He was going to take advantage of your friend, and you were protecting her." She had placed a gentle kiss on his arm.
If there was one thing that Citlali always loathed was men, specifically men exactly like this unknown Frankie. Taking advantage of vulnerable girls, it had always offered her the heebie - Jeebies.
A comforting smile set onto Chads lips, soothing her arms, "I just don't want you getting this wrong impression of me, because trust me, I don't resort to violence." He had confessed to her.
Though, Citlali had never once had an impression that he was violent. She knew of everything of him since their first encounter, and on how he's protective of his inner circle, and of his previous ex -girlfriend Liv who was murdered during their late friends memorial party by a friend they all trusted.
Though, there were those moments that Citlali had where she'd get a bit insecure, and kindly ask him if she wasn't a distraction for his late girlfriend, but he always reassured her that she isn't. He was fully interested in only her since their first encounter.
Citlali didn't want to feel like she was replacing anyone in his previous life, that wasn't ever her intention.
Citlali reassured him, "I know you don't, Chad. I believe you, you mean well." She had placed another kiss on his shoulder.
