Tords P.O.V

I anxiously tapped my fingers on the table, it's been a week since they've been taken and we haven't heard anything. There was nothing to track, we got an empty signal once but that was it. Are they trying to get intel out of them? Are they just trying to fix the communication to get a hold of us? Why haven't we heard anything yet?

"Hey Tor-," something fell over and there was a thud and a groan. I turned around and picked up Thomas who had tripped over a box. He rubbed his head, I guided his arm, "Do you have any idea when those goggles will be done?" He asks.

"Soon, I have a few more tweaks to make."

"But you're busy right?" He remarks.

"Yes," I haven't told him anything about anything. I've been keeping him busy with mediocre tasks and training exercises to help him. This situation was out of hand as it was, I can't imagine what would happen if I told him. But he saw through me day one of high school and I know he sees through me now.

"So you gonna keep hiding something? It's not cool to be sneaky around me just because I'm blind. I may be blind but I'm not an idiot. Everyone stays quiet around me and I'm pretty sure that's because there's something everyone is talking about. Something is going on, I know it is."

"Yes Thomas, but things are still in the air. When I figure it out, then I'll explain it." I shrug.

A red soldier pops in, "Red Leader! We've made contact!"

I quickly follow, and a hand grabs me, "If you don't take me to that meeting I'll find it myself." Thomas looks at me with empty eyes and a serious expression. His hand grips me tighter in the silence.

"Okay," I agree.

"After that was all said and done they gave us an offer. We can meet at the Coast Sea and get our men back, in return for the rebellion's safe passage through the waters. As well as 12 tons of fuel. They want an answer now sir. They said whether we come or not, the men will be there to be saved or to sink."

"What time?"

"Twelve PM tonight sir."

"We'll be there. Get the ships ready." I stand up, Thomas stays in his seat with his head facing down. Everyone leaves to prepare. "I know you're upset,"

"Upset?" his body doesn't move, "Upset doesn't come close!" He yells and jumps out of his seat. His eyes began to glow a radiant purple. "How could you not tell me?! If not because of Edd and Matt then what about Tyler?! What about Pat and Paul?! What about them, Tord?! Edd and Matt are alive! They're out there, and they have them... And..." He sits back and the color in his eyes fades. "Tord? How did this happen?"

I held my breath and thought before speaking, "... The night, that night you lost your vision, and we talked. I put everyone under no disturbance orders. I didn't think anything like this could happen at such a bad time." I breathlessly say. "What are the odds..." I whisper.

"Edd and Matt..."

"Thomas, with the situation we're in . . ." I stop and think about how I want to word this, "We have to be prepared for anything. Seeing them can bring a lot of emotions, like it already is, which is why I can't have you going." I kept talking before protest jumped out of his mouth, "If you lose control you could attack them or anyone else and they could take it as a start of war. You don't have your vision either, I can't guide you through this one. Thomas, I have lost enough. Don't make me worry about losing another person." He shuts his mouth and frowns, "Thomas, you're staying here, that's an order."

"Yes, Red Leader." He dimly nods.

"Thank you, I have to go set up and take care of business. While I'm away my top scientist will be working on those goggles. I'm leaving you in charge so don't destroy anything while I'm gone."
