Tords P.O.V

As I stepped off the stage, I felt a rush of emotions overwhelming me. I lowered my head, letting my hands feel the weight of my thoughts. Mariah placed her hand gently on my shoulder and offered a comforting smile. I instinctively moved away from her touch, feeling a mixture of gratitude and vulnerability. I quickly changed the subject, “How is Thomas?”

“The operation went well, the team said he'd but awake soon.”

“I need air-” she grabbed my hand and stopped me.

“Tord.. you know I can't let you go unsupervised. Otherwise, I would let you know I would. Hey.. I'm um, I'm sorry about what happened back at the base…” Her voice trailed off.

How did I not see it coming, of course, the Black Leader was going to pull something. We went through his hell obstacle course just to be faced with her. We either killed Mariah or she would kill us. I couldn't do it… but Thomas was relentless. What other choice did I have? He would have killed her. I already lost her once I couldn’t lose her again. He wouldn’t stand down and the clock was ticking. I gave the black leader what he wanted. He knows I’ll do anything for her. That means he can make me do anything for his army. "Yeah.” I dully reply. I saw Edd in the crowd during my speech. God, it was such a relief to see him still alive. I don't know my next move. When I went to the MedBay Matt wasn't anywhere to be found. There's been no trace of Sasha either or Tammy. “I want to see Paul and Patrick.” She nods and calls over a soldier to fetch them. I stand up to stack papers, a cold presence suddenly looms behind me, and chills run up my spine, I quickly move my hands from the paper and draw my gun, I spin around and hold it to "Thomas?’

“Tord,” he smiles.

He was in an operation gown I quickly handed him my jacket, but he didn't grab it. He looked like the battle never happened. He was in perfect shape. “Why are you out here?” I motion for him to sit down.

“To report to my leader, sir,” he bows with a smug look. Something about it makes me feel sick, why is he being like this?

I rub my temple, “Look… Thomas, I know you upset about earlier--”

“I’m not upset. I've done some thinking and you did what you had to. We all do what we have to right?” His hand runs down the curtain hanging, he seems fascinated with the feeling. I peer over his shoulder concerned.

Mariah notices him, “Now that it's awake it'd be best to send it back to our base. I'll notify the black leader-” her voice cuts off as something drips. I follow her disturbed eyes, blood spills on the floor flowing from Thomas's mouth. The siren went off and the lights went dim, Red flashes spiraled around the room. I ran to the stage, the room was empty. I hopped down looking for a sign of what the hell was going on.

Edds P.O.V

Tords head turned left to right confused, I nodded at Sasha from the other side of the room. She opened the storage door under the stage. I mumbled to myself, I had one shot. “Three .. two..” Sasha tossed a decoy grenade and I lunged towards him. I jumped on top of him pushing us both into the room. Sasha bolted the door shut and turned on the light. He spun me over and got on top of me ready to fight, his anger dropped.

Tears flooded his eyes and his body relaxed. “Edd? Is it..”

“We've missed you.” I smiled, and we both sat up, he stared In disbelief.

Sasha playfully hit his shoulder, “Earth to Red Leader, it's us.”

“You guys need to get out of here now,” he shakily got up, “If you're with me you're in danger-”
