Edd's P.O.V

"Hey, are you okay?" I rush towards him but Tom puts his arm out in protest. He takes a deep breath and then turns to the mirror. "Tom?" I ask again. My stomach churns with worry. My eyes pace around to search for any signs of what happened.

"I'm fine, just, tired, yeah I just need sleep is all."

"I was on my way to the main quarters, then I heard you yelling. Your walkie was on, and everyone was worried, I came to see what was going on." I stepped closer, "What isn't real?"

He wipes his face and smiles, "This conversation," he holds out finger guns.

"I'm serious," I grab his arm to stop him, his hands are purple and transformed. He only gets like this when something is happening. I think, "Okay, don't tell me, I'll just be on my way and let Tord know--"

"Okay okay okay! Jeez Edd," He huffs.

"I just, I don't know, I haven't been sleeping well lately, and it's getting to me. It's like . . ." Tom shifts his weight to one leg and scratches his neck, "It's like I'm seeing things."

"Seeing . . . people?" I add.

"So you've seen them too!" He exclaims.

"Oh--no," His expression drops and he looks away embarrassed, "But, you're right, I do think you're tired. You've been stressed for a long time, and I'm sure you're worn out. Matt and I are here to support you, Tord is going to be leading again soon. In the meantime we're going to help out with that transition, my first order of business is locking your ass in your room till you fall asleep." I smirk.

He laughs, "Oh, is it? I'd like to see you try Edward."

"Tamra has already passed out on the couch from your race earlier, I'll stay with her while you rest up." I hold out my hand and muster the most British accent I can, "Shall I escort you to your room Mr. Blue Leader sir?"

"Edd," His tone is grave and his face is buried in anger. "Natasha is dead," his bitter tone pauses, "Right?" The green light from his goggles locks on my eyes.

Is this what's got him acting differently? Is he thinking about her?

I placed my hand on his shoulder, I could feel how tense he was, this wasn't like him. He really thinks she is alive. "Yes, I promise Tom there's no need to worry. She's dead and died in the explosion. It's not possible, are you feeling alright? Your face looks a little red?" He grumbles and turns to the sink, splashing water on his face. "Tom?" I ask again. "You know you can talk to me."

"I know Edd, I just," His sigh echoes bouncing off bathroom walls. "I'm gonna get some fresh air," he speeds past me and bursts out the door. The water still swishes down the sink, I take a step and shut it off. My head drops down before I stare at my complexion in the mirror.

"She's dead." I repeat to myself, "So why. . ."

Why am I feeling so uneasy?

I move from the sink and walk to the Med Bay, Matt smiles at me through the glass.

I walk in sitting on one of the patient beds. Matt handed me a folder, I uneasily reached for it, "You want to do this now?" I ask.

He nods, "Don't you think they'd wanna know?" I handed it back to Matt, and his expression turned puzzled.

"Let's just wait a day or two,"

"Edd, Tamra has been asking about forever. I'm sure Tom wouldn't care. With the Red Army's technology, we have a good chance of finding out who her mother was. Why wouldn't we?"
