In Loving Memory: My Furry Friend

7 3 4

As raindrops fall from above,
My sad heart never rests,
Longing for your presence,
For the love you gave, the very best.

I write this piece seeking true peace,
If only you were here,
Life would be a bit easier,
Your absence, still so clear.

You left when I was just a girl,
Yet, you were here before,
Annoying me with a playful whirl,
Wagging your cute tail galore.

Where you are, it might be peaceful,
While I'm here, still feeling sinful,
How could I forget you, my friend?
When will I hold you close again?
