~Four Years Later~

"Rita?" Lyarra asks as she walks onto the balcony of Rita's home, she's been staying with Rita for the last year while the previous year she was with the northern pod learning spells and adapting to the cold waters. Rita and Veridia managed to convince Ned to let them ward Lyarra when she turns twelve, mainly since Rita told him that she is a teacher and has experience teaching children. Catelyn was in a rage when Ned told her that for the next few years Lyarra will be warded by a close friend, luckily they send letters to each other all the time. Especially Jon and Robb "when I was swimming I saw some land people in white clothing with different colored belts doing these kicks? What was that?"

Rita thinks before saying "Martial arts, why? Do you want to try?" From the money Ned gave Rita for Lyarra, she can sign Lyarra up for a class.

Nodding her head "It looks cool"

"Alright, I'll find a class for you and get you signed up" Rita offers a smile "how is your homework coming along?"

"For mermaid school or land school?" She asks, Rita is planning on enrolling Lyarra into land school but before she needs tutors.

"Both" she says

"I'm struggling a bit with levitating" she tells her "so I'm trying smaller objects before trying larger objects" Rita nods her head approvingly "while for land school I'm having a bit of trouble in math, it was another thing I wanted to ask about"

"Of course" Nodding her head "what are you having trouble with?"

"The different laws of physics" she tells her "let me get my work" Rita smiles as Lyarra gets her work, Rita feels like Lyarra shows her what it's like if she had a daughter.

~Three More Years Later~

"Who are you three?" Lyarra asks seeing Lyla, Nixie and Serena on the balcony huddled together in fear. She just came home from school a few minutes ago, she first needed to pick up the sea food from the Cafe. The three look at her then to Poseidon the cat who meows, Lyarra looks at Poseidon and looks away smiling "Poseidon, attack" when Poseidon jumped down, Lyarra bursts out into laughter as the three young mermaids run out in fear.

Shaking her head, she picks up Poseidon "Hey boy, good job in scaring the three intruders" going to the kitchen "here" giving him a few temptations.

"Who do you think those three were?" Lyarra sits at the counter petting Poseidon before starting her home work.

"Hey!" Serena who came back sees Lyarra's moon ring thinking it's hers "that's mine!"

She goes to take it but Lyarra pushes her off scowling "This ring is mine" Lyarra looks between the three "you three are mermaids"

They stiffen "How do you know that?" Lyla demands

"Quite obvious" crossing her arms, narrowing her gaze on the three "now why are you three here?"

"Who are you?" Lyla demands "and give Serena back her ring"

"This" Lyarra shows them her moon ring "is my ring, it was given to me after I finished my training" looking over "Rita? Who are these three?"

Rita looks at them furrowing her brows before shaking her head "You three followed me home, why?"

"I want my ring back" Serena demands

"Their mermaids" Lyarra tells her

Rita looks at them shaking her head "Why aren't you three with your pod?"

"Your a mermaid" Nixie realizes "you both are...why are you both living on land?"

"Long story" Rita says

"We've got plenty of time" Lyla says

"And" Serena adds "we're not going anywhere until you tell us"

"You three" Lyarra motions to the three "are in no position to be making any demands"

"Lyarra is correct" Rita looks between the three "you three are in no position to be making demands, not after what you pulled today at the land school I work at. Which pod are you from?"

"Mako" Nixie answers

"Why aren't you with your pod?" Lyarra asks, she knows two mermaids from that pod that she's close friends with. She hasn't seen them in a while, apparently something happened and now the pod is looking for a new home.

"We've been cast out" Lyla answers

"We let a boy from your school" Nixie explains "fall into the Moon Pool, that's why we were there to get him?"

"Who?" Lyarra asks

"Zac" Serena says

"Zac Blakely?" Rita demands "he's got powers now? Do you realize what you've done? Do you have any idea what he'll become?"

"So now you know" Nixie says "why we have to remove his powers"

Lyarra's phone goes off "I need to get going" Lyarra works with children at the dojo to teach children karate. But before she goes, she looks at the three shaking her head before leaving.

Before leaving she sees the recent letter from Jon, how their little sister Arya is much like Lyarra in not being a perfect lady unlike Sansa who is a mini Catelyn. It has been years since seeing her family, she always sends food or clothing to the villages in the north. Letting people know that even though she isn't there, she cares for the people. Her family tells her how the people of the north remember her and miss her. Lyarra wishes she could go right now but she loves her life away from court business and having to be a lady, she loves her life in the modern world but she misses her family and people.
