Fifteen

~Demetri's POV~

"You've reached" I hang up, she blocked me. Why did she block me? It has been over a month and she's blocked me. Why? I don't remember doing anything that would keep Lyarra from talking to me. At first she didn't answer my texts, I didn't worry much since sometimes it took about a day till she answered until it wasn't. So after a week I called her. No answer. I figured out she blocked me. But why? At first I was but crazy when I couldn't use my abilities to find her after she went diving to a dangerous part of the Mediterranean Sea, so I followed her in person. We grew close. When she went back to Australia we talked over texts, calls or email. But no, she's blocked me. I know deep down that she's in pain, how?

Next thing I know is that I'm passed out and I wake up someplace, I hear crying to see Lyarra in bed on her back naked with some blonde between her legs. She's crying my name. Rage fills me.

"Lyarra" going to her side but she can't touch me, I can't touch her. This man doesn't look at her as she cries. I want to rip this man off of her but I can't, it's like I'm a ghost. So I try to talk to her "Lya, my beautiful Lya. Mia bella Lyarra, look at me—I'll get to you" she cries even more when the man stopped groaning.

"Get out of me Jaime" she cries

"Gladly" he removed himself from her and they stay as far away from each other.

"Lya" I am next to Lyarra kneeling before her face as tears run down her face "I'll find you, I'm coming to you Lya. Don't forget it...I love you"

Opening my eyes, I snarl thinking back to where Lyarra could be. I think about that Rita seeing she could help but I don't get anything. It's like there's a block on them. I then go to my laptop to look up a Rita Santos and Australia, maybe she can tell me where Lyarra is.

"Hey man" Felix comes in "what's going on?"

"I'm going somewhere" I tell him

"Where?" He asks

"To get my mate" there is no doubt in my mind now, Lyarra is my mate. Why else would I be feeling the feelings I am? Why I couldn't kill her? Why her presence makes me calmer? She's my mate. I know it.

"Your mate?" He asks "congratulations...aren't you happy?"

"I'll be happy once I killed the man who raped her" I snarl

"How" he asks "how do you know?"

"I just do" I say "for some reason she blocked me and"

"If she blocked you" he asks cutting me off "how do you know she was...raped?"

Snapping my gaze to him "Because she was crying for me during sex, I saw it"

"You saw it?" He asks crossing his arms "how?"

"I don't know, but I did" when I find a Rita Santos on the Gold Coast, I memorize her address.

"Do the kings know?" He asks

"No" shaking my head "I'm not telling them"

"Are you leaving the coven?" He asks

Looking at Felix "I need to go to my mate, she is suffering. What if this was your mate?"

Felix nods his head after a moment "I won't tell...but how did you meet her? What does she look like?"

"She has beautiful red hair that it's like fire, tan skin from being in the sun" I tell him "her eyes are this dark stormy grey color—I have a picture" I pull up the picture of us at the fair on Crete, when I won her a wolf. Help her remind her of her family.

Felix takes it and whistles "She's beautiful" growling "but perfect for you...where was this?"

"Crete" taking my phone back "told me how she hasn't seen her family in years and I won her a wolf"

"Is her family dead?" He asks

Shaking my head "No...I don't know why but her story...there was some off parts of it"

"What do you mean?" He asks

"From the way she described her family and her life before going to Australia" shaking my head "it was as if she was from the dark ages" he raised his eyebrow "like a nobleman's daughter"

"Do you think she time traveled?" He asks "cause there are powerful witches"

Shaking my head no "No, she's not a witch...she's a mermaid" I recognize the scent, I haven't seen a mermaid in over a thousand years but I recognized the scent.

"So you told her what you are" he sums up and I shake my head no "you didn't..."

"We both acted like humans" I tell him "for the two months we were together, I didn't want to ruin it" I then realize "can I call her from your phone, she blocked me"

He gives me a look "Your mate blocked you? Why?"

"That's what I want to know" I say "but she won't answer"

"Fine, but I'm listening in" he says pulling out his phone, he hands it to me and I dial her number waiting.

After three tries does it pick up "Hello" I hear her beautiful voice.

"Lyarra it's Demetri" I say "don't hang up"

"What do you want?" She demands harshly

"Why" I ask "did you block me?"

"I thought it was obvious" she says, I don't say anything "your girlfriend told me how your just stringing me along"

"I'm sorry?" I ask looking at Felix who is confused "I don't have a girlfriend"

"Great" she cries "I ruined a"

"I've never had a girlfriend" quickly telling her "my brother can even confirm, he's next to me"

"It's true" Felix says

"Great" she says after some time sarcastically "so that means I nearly killed my sister slash cousin for nothing"

"I'm sorry?" I ask confused along with Felix.

"Lyarra" I hear a man's voice

"What do you want Jaime?" Jaime? That's the man who was inside of her, my eyes darken in rage.

"Who are you talking to?" He asks

"I'm talking to Diamond" whose Diamond? "What do you want?"

"We're leaving today and I was wondering if you would allow me the chance to escort you to breakfast" he says

"I first need to see Bran" she says "you remember him? My ten year old cousin who you pushed out of a tower and may die" what? This man did what? "And for reasons you refuse to tell me"

"I understand your upset"

"I am far from upset" she snaps "my cousin may not wake up!" We hear her crying "get out" we hear shuffling before a door closes "what were you talking about Demetri?"

"Me not having a girlfriend" I tell her, I can feel her pain. She's upset right now "I wanted to tell you that, where are you? I'm coming to you right now?"

"It's complicated" she says "but if you came here more harm will be done than good"

"What do you mean?" I demand "Lyarra? What's going on?"

"I" she chokes on a sob "I have to go" hanging up, Felix takes his phone back before I crush it. I'm finding you Lyarra and when I do I'm ending this Jaime.
