Well, I'm back and here comes the drama! I'm planning on making this a longer one, but let's see. Not sure if you know this, but I always write my little a/ns first and then I write the chapter. That may explain a lot if it's not super long.
Bye, Ani." I said, wondering how he got ready so quickly. Oh well. I need to get ready. I have a senatorial meeting. It's a big one, to discuss war efforts on each system. I chose a lovely blue gown with an intricate braided bun hairstyle. I was quite happy with myself after looking in the mirror. It was beautiful. Another boring day at the Senate. Here we go.
Ok. A slight pain came from my stomach. "BABY YOU KICKED!" I yelled in excitement. If only Ani was here.
Anakin's POV
I rushed out to the speeder, and I was loading my stuff into the passenger seat.
"BABY YOU KICKED!" I heard Padmé yelling from the apartment.
"Padmé, are you alright?" I asked, leaning in the room.
"Yes, but Ani, come here, feel. The baby's kicking!" Padmé squealed. She put my hand on her stomach and I felt the baby kicking. I smiled.
"What a surprise! I didn't expect any kicking this early, but-"
"Shhh." I whispered, holding her tight.
"I'll see you tonight, okay?" I promised her. She smiled and nodded.
"Okay," she whispered, and I set her down. She walked over to get her purse, and I walked back out the door. I have never been so excited for the baby.
On the way to the temple, I had more time to think. Of course, all I can think about is that dream I keep having of Padmé. I don't think I could live without her. It was wonderful feeling the baby kick, and it was reassuring that the baby was okay. Hopefully it would stay that way. But I'm terrified it won't be. What if.... No. I can't think like that. She'll be fine. I just need to guarantee it.
I needed to talk to Obi-Wan. That's it.Padmé's POV
I steadily collected my things for the meeting today. The baby made it hard to move quickly, and now that the baby won't stop kicking, it's a lot harder than it needs to be.
"Honey, can you stop kicking so Mommy can get ready for her meeting?" I told the baby, and the baby seemed to find some sympathy for me, and started kicking less. The baby didn't stop, but slowed down, and got a little more gentle.
"Thank you, sweetie." I smiled looking down at my stomach, in my dress that was designed to make it look like I wasn't pregnant. I heard the back door open.
"Ani, you're supposed to be at the temple!"
No response.
"Ani?" I whispered, looking around the apartment. I couldn't find him, but I got my blaster out just in case. A dark figure stood in the kitchen.
"You aren't- nevermind." I said, hold up my blaster.
The figure wore dark clothes, and had a dark grey mask on his or her face. The masked intruder had a long black cape and covered his or her head with a large hood.
"Amidala, make this easier for yourself and come willingly." The voice was deep. Likely a male.
"Why should I do that?" I definitely surprised myself with how cocky my voice was.
"You wouldn't want to hurt the baby, now would you?" HOW DOES HE KNOW ABOUT THE BABY???
"I'd rather neither of those things happen." I responded, rather calmly for the situation at hand.
"Senator, don't make me hurt you." The man was getting impatient, and I knew I was getting on his nerves.
"What if I shot you first?" I asked, probably pushing the limit.
"Then my buddy over there will shoot you right back. Don't force us to violence, Amidala. Make this easy for us." The man taunted me and it irritated me. It make me hesitate and rethink my options.
Hesitantly, I stepped towards the door.
"Don't try it." The other figure, in similar clothing said. The voice was more feminine than that of their partner. She steaded her gun and aimed it towards me. I knocked over a vase. At least if I couldn't hold my own, Ani would see the broken case and know something was wrong.
"Ugh just stop." Another intruder came in and the last thing I saw was a tranquilizer dart coming straight at me, and then everything went dark.(A few hours later on the intruder's ship)
Nobody's POV"Since we got Padmé, I say we bring her to the remote hideaway." The man said.
"Shh, she's coming to." The woman whispered. The man went silent, as Padmé's eyes began to flutter open.
"Hello, Amidala." The man greeted her bitterly. Padmé wished they would take off their masks so she could know who they are.
Padmé stayed silent, as she thought about how familiar the voice was.
"Quiet little thing, isn't she?" The woman commented.
"Who are you, and where am I?" Padmé asked hesitantly.
"Oh, I'm Katé. (This is one of the characters I created myself) And you are on our ship." Katé was surprisingly open about their plan. The man, however did not seem impressed.
"Whatever Katé does with her identity, I don't care. But mine, will stay a secret. It won't matter anyway. Or at least, not now."
"Don't worry about him. His alternate name is Josh. You can call him that!" Katé was rather bubbly for a kidnapper.
"And sorry I had to be involved with this. But when Josh sets his mind to something, it happens. He's been planning this for years. Waiting for the opportune moment, and waiting for an accomplice."
"Wasn't there three of you?"
Katé hesitated. She decided to avoid the question altogether.
"Katé, no talking to the prisoner. Give her some more of that tranquilizer, will you?" Katé sighed, but got out her tranquilizer.
"It's done," Katé muttered.
"Good. This is going to be fun." Josh grinned with an evil look. Katé followed suit.
"Just get her trust. We need to capture that Jedi husband of hers." He spat. He said husband was with such distaste Katé would have expected him to react like that to rotten fish.
"Of course. It'll crush her spirit just enough that she's desperate to escape... And she'll do anything." Katé agreed.
"We make a great team, don't we?" Josh nodded.
"Is Cordé set?" Josh asked. Katé nodded.
"It won't fool the Jedi for long, so we need to make sure we get out and fast. There's no telling how fast the Jedi will get to us, and I need as much time as possible. Crushing that stubborn spirit is going to take time. Are you sure this is enough revenge for what she did to you?" Katé raised her eyebrows.
"I'm satisfied. But Katé, check in with Cordé. No mistakes." Josh confirmed. Katé nodded, and pulled out her comlink.
"Cordé, are you ready?" Katé asked.
"I think so. The Jedi- or as I need to get used to saying, Ani, will be back soon. You need to get Padmé far away." Cordé responded.
"We know. Josh is trying. Padmé is unconscious, so everything is going according to plan. Waiting to arrive." Katé informed her. Cordé's hologram simply nodded.Oh wow. This actually was a longer one, so I'm going to pat myself on the back for this one. Anyways, hope you liked it. Katé is probably the only character I'm making up, but maybe not. Five is already in the works. Hopefully to be updated on time. Just bear with me. And, as always, MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
