"Caspar!" Joe shouted as the blonde boy stumbled through the door, overrun with luggage. Joe ran and tackled Caspar, knocking the bags out of his hands. "I've missed you, buddy!" Joe enveloped Caspar into a hug. "Aw me too, Joe." said Caspar, hugging him back gently. Joe had missed this. He had missed the way Caspar gave away affection like it was free for the taking.
"How was shooting the movie? Laid in America, what's it called?"
"Yeah. It was so cool, actually. L.A. is awesome, as usual."
Caspar picked up his luggage, and the two boys walked downstairs to Caspar's room, updating each other on their lives. Joe lead the way, his head turned, keeping Caspar in sight.
"I saw your video with JJ," Joe raised his eyebrows and hid a smirk. "How was that?"
Caspar groaned loudly. "Oh my God... Man, I don't understand how you handled that so well. I didn't know what to do, like, I wanted to run away or hit him or --or something!" He tugged at his suitcase. It made a loud thumping sound as it hit the ground. "I like JJ, but --" he sighed. "It just . . . it went to far this time."
"I know mate," Joe replied. "When I collabed with him, It was really awkward. But then again, it's JJ, what can we expect?"
"I still don't understand how did you handled it so well." Caspar looked lost. He stopped a few steps from the foot of the stairs.
"Well, I reckon you just go along with it. It's probably easier for me though, because my interview wasn't as bad." Joe stopped at the entrance to Caspar's room. "Everyone fancies Zoe as well." he added, waiting Caspar to crack a Zaspar joke.
"Oh yeah, I love your sister. She's so hot." Caspar laughed, brushing past Joe into his room. He collapsed onto his bed, leaving his luggage unattended on the floor.
"Right, you better stop that, you." Joe smiled, shaking his finger. He followed Caspar into the room and sat down on the side of the bed.
"But how could I disappoint the Zaspar shippers?" Caspar protested.
"It's either Zaspar or Jaspar, Caspar." After Joe finished his sentence, his eyes widened. "Ooooh, it rhymed!" shouted Joe in a Scottish accent.
Caspar's face lit into a grin, laughing at his friend's joke. Classic Joe. "Gosh, I missed you,"
Joe patted Caspar's leg. "Aw, me too."
"That was really awkward though," said Caspar, bringing up the KSI video again.
"It's really bothering you innit." Joe's eyes flickered to Caspar's, trying to read his friend for signs of unhappiness, but Caspar wouldn't look at him now. He was staring intently at the ceiling. Maybe this topic wasn't such a good idea.
"Yeah. I can't imagine what Theo's going to feel. She's already been through so much. I mean in some ways, it's just his kind of humor, you know? And I know it's all jokes. But it was so awkward filming it."
"Is it really that bad, you think?" Joe had never seen Caspar talking so seriously. He swung his legs around to sit cross legged, trying to see Caspar better. Trying to catch his gaze. All Joe had wanted was some friendly banter. But obviously this topic was a lot more serious.
He kept talking, not looking once at Joe. Joe wasn't even sure if he was talking to him anymore, or if he was lost in his own world. "Yeah. Theo's a strong woman, and she won't stand for this, I'm sure of it. That's a plus, I guess. But I feel like I've disappointed her, in some way. She taught me to respect women, and now I've just gone and thrown it all in her face." He flinched, as if something was being thrown at his face, not hers.
