STEVEN UNIVERSE - HUMAN AU "the new guy"

1. introductions

It was a cloudy day in beach city, a dark overcast over the usually bright city. A car comes into the city, and the window wipers swing side to side

The car halts in a parking spot close to the docks

A man stood out of thebcar swinging the door open and shutting it and heading to the boot of the car and opening it, picking up his bags and a guitar case and walked to where the driver was sitting

The man hoisted his bags on his back and opened his phone phone the screen illuminating his face revealing a ton of scars one of his eyes completely blind surrounded by scars and a large gash across one of the sides of his mouth.

After a while of walking, the man needed up on the beach looking up at a beach house and looked at his screen to make sure he had the right place

"I guess this is it." The man said, closing his phone and putting it in his pocket and hoisting his back on his back and picking up a guitar case from the water sand

The man started to walk up the stairs, putting his hand on the wooden bannister, looking up at the bright lights shining through the windows and coming up to the door and knockout on it twice

"One moment," a woman's voice called out

"It's not like it's a bright sunny day out here," the man said to himself

A pale, skinny woman opened the door. "Yes? Can we help you?" The woman asked

"I'm here about the room for rent?" The man asked, opening his phone to an ad for a 'room for rent'

"Oh yes, come in before you get a cold," the pale woman said, taking the man's hand

"You can put your jacket there, and we have a few rules to go over," the pale woman said, pointing to the coat hooks already having multiple jackets hanging on them

"I see." The man took off his jacket, revealing more scars on him arms many scars littered his arms from his shoulders all the way to his fingers

"Right! To business, Rule: 1 This is a nonsmoking residence. Rule: 2 label everything I the fridge. Rule: 3 lights out by 11:30" the pale woman explained, reading a clipboard

"Pearl, I'm sure he knows the basic rules," another woman Saif leaning against the doorframe

"Better to be sure Garnet, it's just protocol," Pearl said

"It's quite alright. I don't smoke anyway, and may I introduce myself?"

"Of course what your name?" Garnet asked, putting her hand out to shake

Suddenly, loud snoring can be heard from the living room

"Amethyst! What have we told you about sleeping on the couch!" Pearl said, strutting into the living room out of sight

"The names Turquoise." The man said, revealing his name and shaking garnets hand

Garnets heterocromia eyes one red one blue looked at Turquoise calmly and smiling

"Your room is upstairs on the far right second door, also if you see Peridot make sure to tell her that she has college in the morning and not to stay up all night playing computer games" Garnet explained letting go of Turquoise's hand and gently pointing upstairs

"Peridot?" Turquoise asks

"She won't be hard to miss." Garnet smiled, walking into the living room

"Odd." Turquoise said to himself, picking up his bags and heading upstairs

Once upstairs, Turquoise looked around at all the rooms and followed Garnet's instructions, heading to the far right and opening the door to his new room

The room was mostly plain a bed in the corner and a few chests of drawers around the room

"Roomy." Turquoise said, placing his bags on the floor and taking a seat on the bed

Turquoise opened his bag and started unpacking, sticking his clothes in the drawers and placing his guitar case in the closet

"Now, to tell this Peridot that she has college?" Turquoise said to himself, slightly confused

Turquoise stood in the doorway of his new room and noticed a door with green spray paint on it, saying, "Peridot's room go away."

Turquoise walked up to the door and knocked on it and stood back away from the swing radius of the door

"GO AWAY!" A voice shouted from behind the door

"I was told to tell you that you have college and to get off your computer?" Turquoise said to the voice behind the door

The door swung open to a short blond person wearing green tinted glasses and a baggy shirt, the person only coming up to Turquoise's shoulders

"Who the hell are you?" The person asked

"Ahem. I'm Turquoise. I am renting the room down the hall, " Turquoise explained

"Peridot." The short person said unimpressed

"Yeah, Garnet said that I needed to tell you that stuff," Turquoise explained, rubbing the back of his head

"Course that clod can't be bothered walking up a flight of stairs to do it herself," Peridot said, pinching the bridge of her nose

"Clod? As in a lump of clay or stupid person?" Turquoise asked, raising an eyebrow

"Got problem with that!" Peridot said with a slight blush

"Apologies, I will leave you alone now, goodnight." Turquoise nodded his head a little bit

"Right," Peridot said, closing her door

Peridot stood with her back against her door, her freckled cheeks covered with a slight blush

"Holy shit..." Peridot said to herself
