The morning had come and Turquoise had woken up at 5:00am, he had done since his teen years, always a routine but mainly because of his adoptive parents they where highly respected rich folk and always put a huge amount of pressure on Turquoise to always be his best self but Turquoise didn't want any of that.
He stood at the top of the stairs, hearing Peridot yelling at her video games she obviously didn't listen to his or Garnet's orders.
Turquoise headed downstairs and put the kettle on and started cooking breakfast quietly, looking around the kitchen and making sure to clean up after himself
And any other messes that littered the lower floor, Turquoise was cleaning the living room when he spotted
"... kids' toys?" Turquoise thought to himself
Did one of the other occupants have a kid, he thought, but soon dismissed it and went back to the kitchen and made up two plates of food and two cups of coffee and headed upstairs
Turquoise went into his room and placed on of the plates and cups on his desk and went into the wallway with the other placing it at the bottom of Peridot's door before knocking and walking away
After a few moments, Peridot opened the door to see the plate of food and the mug of coffee and a note. They picked up a not and it read "here, I know you where up all night so this will keep your eyes open for the day, I read the note on the fridge about your allergies and made sure to make the coffee lactose free and use almond milk.
P.S. Do try to get some sleep. TQ"
Peridot looked at the plate sceptically but picked it up awkwardly before hearing the shower turn on and heading onto her room, shutting the door behind them
After Turquoise had finished his shower, he was walking to his room when he noticed Garnet just woken up standing in the doorway of her room
"Morning Garnet." Turquoise said, slightly embarrassed
Garnet looked him up and down calmly
"The kettle is not long boiled of you want to make yourself a drink, and I tidied up a bit," Turquoise said
"Thanks." Garnet said
"For?" Turquoise asked, rubbing his head with a towel
"Keeping your eyes open and out for Peridot," Garnet smiled
"Eye. Just the one." Turquoise said, pointing to his blank blind eye
"Still thanks, and thanks for cleaning up. Pearl won't throw a hissy fit now," Garnet joked
"May I ask about the kids' toys?" Turquoise asked
"Oh, those are Steven's. He probably didn't put them away after dinner yesterday," Garnet answered
"Steven?"
"Oh, Pearl didn't mention him? He was Rose's son, Rose passed giving birth to him and entrusted us to look after him, " Garnet explained
"Thanks," Turquoise said, walking into his room and shutting the door
Garnet stood in the hallway and turned her head slightly towards Peridot, who had been sneakily watching
"Morning Peridot." Garnet said bluntly
Peridot didn't say anything but quickly shut her door in embarrassment
Turquoise in his room went through his drawers to find something to wear, some blue jeans, a white vest with black markings on the lower half, and a teal coloured pullover hoodie He sat on his bed and looked at his phone before someone knocked at his door
"Hello?" Turquoise opened the door to see nobody there
Turquoise looked down to see a young boy
"Woah, you're tall!" The boy said excitedly
"You must be Steven," Turquoise kneeled down
"Yeah!"
"Garnet told me about you. Where is she now? I wonder," Turquoise picked Steven up and started to go down the stairs
"How tall are you?!" Steven asked excitedly
"I'm 190.50 cm or 6'3"ft, " Turquoise said
"Wow, that's taller than Garnet!" Steven said
Turquoise walked to the kitchen with Steven in hand to see Pearl and Garnet sitting on high-level chairs
"Look who I found!" Steven cried out excitedly
"Steven here breakfast is ready," Garnet said, placing a bowl of cereal on the counter
Turquoise put Steven on the high-level chair
"Amethyst and Peridot joining us?" Turquoise asked, taking a seat next to Pearl
"Amethyst is asleep, and Peridot doesn't like to eat in front of others," Pearl explained
"Alright."
Turquoise had picked up his guitar and began walking out the hall and suddenly bumped into Peridot
"Apologies, you were in my blind spot," Turquoise said, picking up Peridot's glasses that had been knocked off
"Thanks... and thanks...for the breakfast, " Peridot stuttered, embarrassed
"You're welcome," Turquoise smiled
Turquoise walked down the stairs and waved goodbye to the rest of the group before heading out the door
"Oh, someone has a crush on the new guy!" Amethyst yelled teasingly from behind Peridot
"I DO NOT!" Peridot yelled
"It's quite obvious!" Garnet yelled from downstairs
"Shit..."
"Pffft the look on your face!" Amethyst laughed
"SHUT UP !SHUT UP! SHUT UP!"Peridot yelled, her cheeks red with blush
"Peri has a crush! Peri has a crush!" Amethyst teased as Peridot woke downstairs, putting their headphones on and holding their dishes
Steven, Garnet, and Pearl all looked at Peridot teasingly, but she ignored them, placing her dishes in the dishwasher
Garnet tapped Peridot on the shoulder, causing her to jump
"What!" Peridot swung round
"Perhaps you should ask the new guy on a date?" Garnet teased, raising her eyebrow a little
"A guy like him!!! With someone like me?!! Pfffft!" Peridot chucked nervously
"What do you mean, I don't see a ring in his finger." Pearl added
"God, what if he already has a girlfriend or a partner!?!?" Peridot thought
"Why don't you go ask him? Before he gets to fat away, " Steven said, tugging on Peridot's shirt
"Ugh, you guys are humiliating...fine." Peridot slipped their shoes on and ran out the door
"Oh, they're gonna fail so hard," Amethyst joked
"Have faith, Ame." Garnet said
