Turquoise and Peridot continued throughout beach city Turquoise, not taking his eye off the road, and Peridot had fallen asleep and had started snoring

Turquoise hummed as he drove occasionally, glancing at Peridot, who was now drooling a little

Turquoise took a turn into a car park and stopped the car

"Wakey-wakey," Turquoise said, shaking Peridot's shoulder a little

"Hmmm?" Peridot groaned, opening their eyes a little and wiping their mouth

"College, remember?" Turquoise said, taking his seat belt off

"Ughhhh yeah," Peridot groaned, rubbing their eyes and lifting their glasses a little bit

"Here you stay here, wake up a little. I'll fetch your bag, " Turquoise said, opening the door and climbing out of the car

Peridot sat in the car, their leg repeatedly tapping up and down looking nervously at a pair of shadowy figures

Turquoise circled round the car and opened the trunk/boot and rummaged through, and pulled out Peridot's alien head shaped bag before slamming the door back shut

Peridot, now slightly more awake, sat up and opened the door and stood up and stretched

"What time do your classes finish?" Turquoise asks while handing Peridot their bag

"3:45." Peridot answers, taking their bag and hooking it over their shoulder

"I'll be here five minutes beforehand." Turquoise smiled

"Whatever floats your metaphorical boat," Peridot joked

"Have a good day," Turquoise said, looking at Peridot

"I'll try."

"See ya," Turquoise waved before getting back in his car

Peridot put their headphones on as Turquoise drove away and started walking towards the college, eventually ending up in the main foyer

"Ahem!" A voice said behind Peridot

Peridot with headphones on didn't hear the voice and continued looking at their phone

The person tapped Peridot's shoulder, and Peridot shot up in reaction, flipping their headphones down

"Hey, no physical contact!" Peridot said

"Didn't see come off the bus this morning." The voice said

"Oh piss off Aquamarine, you can take your snobby rich girl comments and shove it," Peridot sneered, brushing their shoulder where Aquamarine touched

"Oh please~" Aquamarine smiled

"Topaz." Peridot said, acknowledging Topaz's presence behind Aquamarine

"Peridot." Topaz said bluntly

"What do you want, Aqua?" Peridot asked, slightly annoyed

"Oh, nothing, just checking in on a friend." Aquamarine smiled

"When were we ever friends?" Peridot asked with a raised eyebrow

"Soooo you gonna tell me about that tall handsome bloke that dropped you off in that hideous car?" Aquamarine nudged Peridot's arm

"1. None of your business, 2. His car is fine, unlike your "daddy" funded car you have, 3. And as far as you can be concerned, me and him are going on a date after class, and he's even offered to pick me up, " Peridot explained

"Oh please love, why on earth would he go out with you?" Aquamarine asked teasingly

"Actually...I'm the one who asked him," Peridot answered, rubbing their arm

"I didn't get a good look at his face. How would you describe it?" Topaz asked, surprising both Aquamarine and Peridot

"Umm...quite unique?" Peridot answered, unsure how to describe Turquoise's face without saying anything about his scars or eye

"Is he nice?" Topaz added

"So far, yes,"

Topaz's expression eased becoming less tense

"How'd you meet?" Topaz asked, folding her arms

"He is renting a room in the household I live in and well... yeah," Peridot shrugged

"Oh, he doesn't even have his own residence!" Aquamarine butted in snarkily

"Well...he's in town for work, and I dont know if he has a house somewhere else." Peridot admits putting their phone in their pocket

"Oh really, what does he do if he isn't in academic studies?" Aquamarine asked, slightly tempered

"He's in a band." Peridot says, looking at Aquamarine dismissively walking away from Aquamarine and Topaz

Turquoise sat on the front of his car in a mostly empty parking lot scrolling through his phone at all the calls he had ignored from his parents

Swiping across revealing hundreds of unread messages from a name labelled "mom / BD" and a single message from a name labelled "Dad(ex-mom) / YD"

"Course..." Turquoise said to himself

Back in the college, Peridot sat in a lecturing room looking at the lecturer blankly

Out of boredom, Peridot started doodling in their jotter and accidentally started to doodle a small pencil sketch of Turquoise

"Oooo, who's that?" A voice said next to Peridot

"Yes, is he your boyfriend!" Another voice said

"Oh! The rutile twins, right? This is just... a guy I asked out..." Peridot admits scribbling over the drawing embarrassed

"Oooo, the ever logical Peri has a crush?" Both the rutile twins teased

"Yeah... maybe"

Peridot continued listening to their lecturer

"And... Peridot, do you know the answer to this question?" The lecturer pointed to a chalkboard

"Yes, Ms. Zircon!" Peridot adjusted their glasses."

"Why is computer science important." Zircon repeated

"Umm..." Peridot flipped through her jotter
"The most important aspect of computer science is problem solving, an essential skill for life. Students study the design, development, and analysis of software and hardware used to solve problems in a variety of business, scientific, and social contexts."

"Correct!" Zircon acknowledged

Back at the parking lot, Turquoise was still sitting on his car looking at his phone and decided to go clear his head

He got in his car and put the radio on blasting loud music and closing his eyes

"Why can't they just leave me alone!?" Turquoise said to himself
