Chapter 48
Finns pov :
I was in the kitchen with Rachel when the door bell rang . "I'll get it !" Lily said but I beat her to the door. "What are you wearing ?" I asked. "A tube top and jeans. " She said. "Can't you where like a turtle neck . " I said. "Mom. " She said looking at Rachel. "Honey you look beautiful now go have fun . " She said and then opened the door, "Hi you must be Greg I'm Rachel and this is Finn we're Lilys parents . " She said. The boy smiled when he saw Lily and said , "Nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs.Hudson. I'm Greg . " He said. "Well why don't you come on in . " She said and let him in . He smiled at Lily and said , "Hi. " She smiled , "Hi. " She said back . "Okay then have her home by 9 o'clock not a minute late. " I told them . "Yes sir. " "So Greg how old are you? " Rachel asked him . "15. " He told her . I looked at Rachel and said , "Can we talk in the kitchen real quick. " and I took her hand and we went to the kitchen. "He's 15 . " I said. "I don't see whats the big deal? " She asked . "He's 15 Rachel going out with a 13 year old." I pointed out. "Finn its her first date Lily is smart she is going to have to judge whether or not this boy is good for her . " She told me . "Do you know what 15 year olds think ?" I asked her. "Oh Finn not all boys are like that. " She told me. "I was. " I told her "Look just give him a chance . " She said and went back out in the hall. "Lily , Greg have fun and be safe." Rachel told them . "Bye mom , bye dad. " Lily said and they left. 5 minutes later I walked into the kitchen with my coat on and said , "Rach I'm heading to Puckermans." I told her . "Okay tell Quinn I said hi. " She said . "Okay bye. " I said and left . I got into the truck and instead of going to Puckermans house I went to the movies . 10 minutes later I went to the movie theater and saw Lily , Greg , Madison and another boy. I brought the tickets and followed them . I sat in the back of the theater watching them like a hawk . I looked at Lily and Greg, it seemed like nothing was happening so I was about to leave when Greg wrapped his arm around Lily . I sat back down quickly and watched as she layed her head on his shoulder. He looked at her and he started to lean closer before I knew it my inner father came out and I threw the popcorn on Greg and said, "Get away from my daughter !" Lily stood up and said , "Dad !" She yelled angrily.
Rachels pov :
I was at the kitchen table grading papers when Lily and Finn stormed through the door. "Mom !" Lily yelled. I got up and walked into the hall way, "Hey honey how was your date ?" I asked. "Why don't you ask him since he doesn't even trust his own daughter. " She said upset and went up . I turned to Finn and said, "What did you do ?" I asked. "Well I may have gone to the same movie, spied on them, and dumped popcorn on his head. " Finn said quickly. I rolled my eyes and hit him on the shoulder , "What is wrong with you? " I asked upset . "Are you really that nuts to follow her to the movies and poured popcorn on him . " I said. "He tried to kiss her . " He said . "So what? She is growing up Finn she's going to have her first kiss sometime . " She told me. "Yes but she's still my little girl Rachel." He said and walked into the living room and sat down . I sat down next to him . "She's just a little girl Rach , my little girl. The thought of her growing up and going on dates and kissing boys , it scares me I mean I miss eleven years of her life I just feel like maybe she doesn't need me ." He told me . I smiled and said, "Oh honey , she will always need you your her dad , she can't live without you. And you may have missed eleven years of her life but there is so much more for her that you won't miss , like her first boyfriend , first heartbreak , prom , graduation , her first day of college , walking her down the isle , holding her baby for the first time. There is still so much for you . " I told him. "She hates me . " He told me . "Shes mad put she could never hate you . " I said and gave him a kiss on the cheek . "I better go talk to her. " He said and went upstairs.
Finns pov :
I went upstairs and knocked on Lilys door . "Go away mom !" She yelled. "Its dad . " I said. "Go away ! " She yelled. I sighed and opened the door. "We need to talk . " I said. She was on her bench looking out the window. "I don't want to talk to you. " She said. "Okay then I'll talk and you listen . " I said. I sat down next to her and said , "I'm sorry that I ruined your date its just in my eye's you're still my little girl I know I've only known you for a year and a half but when I look at you I still see that little baby girl. " I told her. "Dad I don't hate you I just want you to trust me . " She told me . "Your right . " I said. "Your growing up and I need to trust you , I'm sorry . " I said. She gave me a hug and said , "Me too , I love you dad . " She said. "I love you too. " I said and gave her a kiss.
