TWELVE          Bee Stung Heart

Once she stepped out of the elevator, Amelia felt like she could breathe once again. With every passing minute she spent down there, she could feel her lungs shrinking inside her, reducing the amount of oxygen that flowed through her body. It felt refreshing to feel the wind brushing against her skin and the moon kissing her with its radiance. She also managed to breathe peacefully, knowing she had gotten out of his hands for now.

She unknowingly stuck her tongue out, pretending to 'taste' the fresh air that embraced them coldly. "This feels so good," She mumbled to herself. She looked at Steve and Robin, "Can you taste it? It's so nice."

Their moment was broken off the second Dustin and Erica pushed them inside the mall after two armed Russian guards chased them. Amelia began to argue since she didn't want to take the creepy storage hallways, but she didn't have any other choice.

Dustin was tempted to slap them across their faces but knew it wouldn't do any good. They were evidently lost inside their own brains, and their lack of thinking only angered him more. He cussed them out as they managed to push them inside the hallway.

       "Woah, why are we running?"

They arrived at the cinema, where they knew they could easily blend in with other people and hide from the Russians. Dustin had no patience left. Steve wouldn't stop giggling like a kid, and Amelia wouldn't shut up with her absurd questions. Dustin, ignoring Robin's comments about throwing up and Erica's complaints, hurried the group inside the theater room where Back to the Future played.

Only two seats were available up front and another pair was on the far left. Dustin grabbed Amelia's shoulders and pushed her to the floor, "Amelia, you sit here." He instructed.

"Am I a dog to you?"

"Just sit on the floor, Ames."

       "That's all I am. A dog."

"No, no, no! These seats are too close!"

       "Agreed."

       "Then don't watch the movie."

Amelia frowned, "But I wanna watch it." She whispered, a pout displayed on her lips.

Having pulled the last string, Dustin exclaimed. "Then watch it!" A man in the seats behind shushed the gatecrashers loudly. Without a second thought, Amelia turned to him with her middle finger, nearly spitting out some words, until Erica lowered her hand quickly with wide eyes.

"Whatever you do, don't go anywhere," Dustin ordered.

       "Fine, Dad."
