CHAOS
Chaos had awaited his turn to go into Hades and Persephone's chamber to talk to them. The reason he had needed to talk to them was because of a very tragic incident that had happened just a few days ago.
Chaos knew his mother had been killed by an unknown god, but he also knew the reason it happened: she was a mortal. Living among the gods and goddesses, she never longed for her old life down on Earth because she always felt that it was far more dangerous than Mount Olympus. Then one night, that theory changed. He wasn't sure what had happened because he didn't witness it, but he heard his mother scream for help but it was too late for him to save her because the god already murdered her, in cold blood. Now Chaos is here, waiting to talk with Persephone and Hades because he hoped to get his mother back, because she didn't deserve this. He still had a very vivid memory of her scream for help, and every time he thought about it, it made his heart ache. After Chaos saw the last god come out of the door looking very heartbroken, the memory did not last long, and he knew it was his turn to converse with the two. "Who must you be?" asked a voice that was so soft Chaos found it hard to believe the voice was real. "I'm Chaos..." answered Chaos, fumbling with his fingers nervously. This wish he was asking them to grant was almost baffling to answer.
"Don't be nervous dear, come sit please." soothed the soft voice of Hades' wife Persephone.
Trembling slightly Chaos walked over to the mat placed in front of where the couple sat and kneeled upon it, grateful it had not been the hard cold stone that other gods usually made others kneel on. "Now what is it you need?" asked Hades' booming voice. "I-I want you to bring my mother back." Hades' eyebrows raised and Persephone gasped. "Oh dear what happened to your mother?" asked Persephone. "She was m-murd-murdered." Persephone put on a pitiful face as she looked Chaos, drowning in dread. It stays silent for a hot minute before Hades clears his throat, shaking the entire room as he did so. "Well Chaos, I apologize but I can't revive your mother as I am not Kronos." Chaos shook his head knowing what he is about to say in the eyes of a god is disrespectful. "Can you not at least talk to Kronos to see if he can.. Maybe bring her back." Chaos said, cautiously. "I am not in personal relations with Kronos though my brother Zeus is." said Hades, crossing his arms.
"So I am going to make you follow a task that will result in your mother being revived." Chaos nearly jumped up off the mat to celebrate but decided not to as Hades was probably going out of his way to do this for him. "This task you must follow is to go on a quest to Kronos' lair and face him with your problem." Hades said, staring into Chaos soul. Wait. Chaos thought. Where does Zeus come in? "Wait before I leave, can I ask you one more question?" asked Chaos. Hades sighed and then nodded his head. Chaos knew he was testing the waters but he needed to know; where does Zeus come in. "Where does Zeus come in?" Hades shook his head. "Child I told you I have to contact Zeus before I let you on the quest so Kronos knows you're coming." Hades pauses for a moment before saying "He doesn't really appreciate surprises." Chaos nodded and then walked out of the chamber. Chaos was determined to get his mom back no matter how difficult the journey will be.
