The four of us stood in front of Auradon Prep. Except, it wasn't Mal, Evie, Jay, and me.
"This is it?" Xander said excitedly.
Harry nodded in confirmation, looking up at the place we once called home. "This is it."
Ace pouted. "And why can't I go to school here?"
"Because you're a year younger than your brother. Next year," I assured him. "Ready to go find your dorm?" I asked Xander.
He nodded as we spotted Larkin talking to some of her friends. I got out of the car with Harry and let Xander and Ace out. I noticed a girl brighten when she spotted Ace and ran over to him, hugging him tightly.
"I'm so excited we're going to be in the same classes this year," was the first thing she said.
Xander seemed to have read my mind. "Who's this, Ace?"
Ace smiled at the girl. "This is Leona Charming. Chad Charming's daughter."
Mal walked up to us with Ben. "Wow. We really haven't kept up with our classmates, have we?"
"Not the ones we made slight enemies with," I corrected her. "Otherwise, I say we've been in touch for a long time."
"Where's Uma and Ted? With Nick?" Ben asked.
"Right here," Uma said.
Nick walked over to the four kids and the four went over to the welcoming table, getting information on their dorm assignments. They walked inside together with keys dangling from a keychain representing their grandparents' stories.
"I think this is the best part about watching a kid grow," Mal laid her head on Ben's shoulder.
"Actually being there for the kid? With both parents present?" I questioned.
"That. And seeing them grow up with elements that we had in our own lives," Mal explained.
"And better elements that weren't in our lives," I added.
"Exactly," Mal agreed.
"Okay, let's go meet Jay and Lonnie. They said that they were finishing up presentations." Mal started to walk off.
We walked into the school and headed into the amphitheater. Jay and Lonnie were teaching kids basic R.O.A.R. practices. I smiled as one of the kids was fighting with Jay. Xander took off his mask, revealing himself to have won against Jay. I cheered for him, and he looked up at us bashfully.
"All right, that's it for the basics! Get out of here and get to your dorms!"
Jay chuckled at Lonnie's bossiness. "Xander, nice job today!" Jay hit him on the back.
"Thanks, Uncle Jay," Xander said quietly and walked out.
"There's our two favorite instructors," Mal and I said.
"And there are our best friends," Jay replied, smiling. "Meet you in the quad."
We met them in the quad, along with Evie with Doug, and sat in the grass.
"Seventeen years since we sat here." Evie looked at the grass. Evie looked at me. "We came here after we escaped and Mal talked over why she wanted to go back. She was crying because she missed you."
I frowned. "I missed the four of you a bunch. I wanted you guys to come back and say, 'No, you're good enough to come to Auradon! Come with us and prove Mom wrong!' But, that wasn't how things worked on the Isle."
"Well, you're here now, with us." Harry wrapped an arm around me.
I laid my head on Harry's shoulder. "I love all of you. So much."
"We love you too, (Y/n)."
