Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos left. Their parents went dormant after, probably awaiting the news that their children conquered Auradon. The plan was to steal Fairy Godmother's wand and break the barrier. I wondered how they would be able to pull that off as I wandered the alleyways, snarling at people who dared to look me in the eye.

"Well, well, well, lassie. Where are you going at a time like this?"

"None of your business, Hook."

He grabbed my arm, pulling me closer to him. A small gasp left me before I shoved him off of me. He was pushed against the brick wall before he grinned. He was still smiling as he stood up straight. His light blue eyes caught mine, but it felt suffocating to look into them for too long. I scowled, despite the weird feeling in my chest.

"What's got your hair on fire, (Y/n)? You know you can talk to me," Harry breathed.

I could hear his caring tone of voice during these rare moments. Those rare moments when we're genuinely concerned about each other. Harry wasn't even smiling in his usual teasing manner. Harry Hook wasn't even smiling. It was as if the Mad Hatter wasn't acting mad.

It was a joke with the flaming hair thing. It wouldn't work unless we were in Auradon.

"Mal didn't even say goodbye," I whispered, but Harry could definitely hear. "They told me they would come back. I'm not even going to be a second thought in her mind once they get the wand."

He smiled mischievously. "And you feel you're being abandoned, left in the dust. Am I wrong?"

I shrugged, although I felt tears prick my eyes. Mal had abandoned me, no doubt about it. All four of them did. And it made me angry. A thought crossed my mind of me pushing her into the underworld. I looked back into Harry's eyes. He smiled, a hint of a mischievous smirk mixed in. I secretly wanted to punch him, but for no reason.

"Come with me. There's someone I want you to meet."

Harry weaved me through alleyways to a place called Ursula's Fish and Chip Shoppe. I wondered what he was up to until he pushed open the doors, then pushed me inside. A girl with a mix of teal, black, and white braids looked up. She was a waitress, but she also looked like she ran the place. She glared at me, surveying me and then Harry.

"What is little miss hellfire doing here?" she sneered.

"Uma, this is (Y/n), daughter of Hades. She's a little friend of mine," Harry introduced me, circling Uma with a grin for a moment.

"But what is she doing here? No relative of Mal's is allowed in here," she said.

"Mal left her for Bore-adon," Harry said simply.

The snarl on Uma's face turned into a wicked grin. "So, how does it finally feel to be in my shoes?"

"She wants revenge, Uma. She wants revenge, and we could help her," Harry pointed out.

She looked at me up and down repeatedly. I was scared she was seeing if I was good enough to skewer. "How good are you with a sword?"

"Pretty good," I replied.

"Harry, train with her. You decide. If she's good enough, and I approve, she's welcome to join," Uma said, confusing me.

"What does that mean, Harry?" I asked worriedly.

"It means, princess, that you're going to be a part of our pirate crew."

Harry made me follow him once again. There was a steep dip between a couple of mountains, leading to a nice area of flatness. Harry had two sword holsters on his belt as we walked. For a moment, it crossed my mind that Uma wanted me dead. Then I assured myself that Harry would never hurt me.

Instead, Harry handed me a sword. I found a good grip on it after a moment.

"So, what am I supposed to do?" I asked, watching him twirl his sword.

"Fight me. See if you could put me on the ground," he explained.

I smiled. This was going to be good.

His grip was loose on the sword. His technique was obvious to read even though he had been familiar with a sword longer. In seconds, I had him on the ground, and my sword pointed at his chest. He smiled wickedly, like a pirate who had just struck gold.

"Wow, (Y/n). You're better than Harry. I'm impressed."

I turned around. Uma was smirking. I looked at Harry, who was still on the ground.

"It's easy for me to find weaknesses in people. Harry has a couple, and they're easy to exploit," I explained.

Harry got up from the ground, facing me. "And what would one of them be?"

"Your hook," I smiled, wrapping my hand around the hook and yanking slightly, "and me."

Uma smiled. "Well, (Y/n). I find your abilities very useful to me. Welcome to the crew."

"What does this mean, Harry?" I whispered.

Harry wrapped his arm around me. "That means you're stuck with us now, love."
